Proper Disposal of Syringes?

This is something that has really been hounding me. Given the nature of a medical needle/syringe, in conjunction with the stigma associated with them - how does one properly dispose of said materials? Do you guys just throw them in the trash, or is there a specific location locally where they should be deposited?

If you want to get technical, look up area's disposal laws..

I take the needle a part, seal everything as if they were new again, and dispose of them.

Many places sell a red disposable container you put them .
BD sharps dispenser .
They sell at pharmacies for 5 bucks .

if you use protein powders, the empty tubs make for good storage until you dospose of them..

I usually use empty milk/water gallons. All my syringes have caps.

I put them in empty diet coke cans. After i recap them ofcourse And no i don't recycle

After I use a syringe I take the plunger all the way out and insert the needle in the body big end first then reinsert the plunger. Then I take them and put them into an empty bottle of tide liquid laundry detergent, this is stronger than a sharps container and will hold a boatload of syringes.

In our area we have recycling but businesses are not required to recycle so I just go to the nearest commercial dumpster and throw it in.

you can take them to hospital,needle exchange,clinic almost any medical facility will dispose of them properly.

i put mine in a yellow shapes bin and ruturn it to the local neddle exchage were i get all injecting equipment and blod tests done (uk) but as above use an old protein tub or a shapes bin.

Get a sharps container. Call some local pharmacies,,clinics,,hospital in your area to ask for a drop off.
If they ask just say you do at home TRT/HRT or your a diabetic.

When by accident I buy the ones that auto detract when finished I just toss it in the trash otherwise I take the needle off with the cover and put it in a sharps container, The syringe I either toss or save of??? You never know when you need to measure out something and it's fun in the summer to fill them with salt water and inject it into slugs.... hahahaha Yeah I did that as a kid.... Im bad.... but NO I never tortured frogs (almost never). I had friends (girls) who use to pour bbs into frogs mouth and throw them into the pond/lake since they could not swim anymore.
