I'm a young guy who has been on TRT (first shots then cream) since March due to borderline T, LH, and FSH numbers and the ensuing sexual problems. My low T may have been the result of using melatonin for sleep and phytoestrogens for cholesterol.
I've been doing some reading online and have found several journal articles and anecdotal accounts in forums that Clomid is a viable alternative to TRT, and in some cases can jump start the signaling between the hypothalamus and the pituitary.
Another benefit of Clomid is that it will positively impact fertility rather than hinder it like TRT.
I was wondering if anyone here had any experience with using clomid as an alternative to TRT. My understanding is that most doctors stick to HCG or TRT.
Is there something I am missing? On paper clomid seems ideal for keeping the pituitary and testes pumping, maintaining fertility, and possibly reversing the secondary hypogonadism.
