New member - have a question
Juice Authority is my neighbor. He suggested this site as a good place to get information and feedback. I'm 51 years ago, in relatively good shape for age, and I recently got bloodwork. My total testosterone is 177ng. I've never used steroids . I was referred to Cenegenics by a doctor. After speaking with Juice Authority he told me I'm foolish to spend $4k on an evaluation when I'm an HRT candidate. I feel anxious, depressed, stressed more easily than normal and less motivated. He told me to come here and tell my story because he gave up.

Well if your 177 you could use TRT but its silly your doc turned you to Cenegenics considering you need to start at about 100 mg/week for few months and then get your blood done again to see where your at, assuming your just wanting TRT?

Welcome...and yes TRT sounds like a good plan...you might want to check out the hormone replacement therapy forum where there are seasoned pros for your specific issue so they could really help you out....
there are many anti-aging clinics less pricey than cenegenics ...even some online places

He's my neighbor guys. Go easy. He NO knowledge of AAS. His bloodwork is pretty cut and dry. He went to see his Endo, and as we all know, not all endos are created equal. The moron didn't even run his free test levels, jut total total test. Anyway, a "friend" of his referred him to this high end $$$ type clinic for a $4k evaluation (this doesn't include the supps and "therapy"). We all know what those places are about, $$$$. Regardless, I thought he should hear other people's viewpoint and perspective. He's never done AAS in his life and wants to get this total "evaluation" done and spend all this money when the real cure is to go to his PCP, get a script for Test Cyp and start HRT.

I think he needs to start his thread in the hormone replacement forum to get feedback from the guys there who are on HRT and know all the ends and outs re: docs, what to say, what to ask, where to go and BW advice. They have tons of HRT experience...they are REAL INFORMATIVE and help out a lot...

I hear you but there's usually more traffic on this forum and he knows nothing about AAS.

does he want to do a cycle? or simply TRT? I hear ya on the traffic but the traffic here moves fast and to me is not his audience..my 02..
he could always do both...plus will probably want to read up on the HGH forum too....since I bet when it is all said and done, a little HGH might strike his fancy!

Thanks for responding! As Juice said, I am just being introduced to all this stuff now so I am not really sure what my chemical issues are besides the low testoterone. I figured it is a good time to get the full picture before any Hormone therapy

Good idea to take it all in and study first. There is a lot of info here and many members really do have a lot of experience and they will help you sort out what your options are. Just know that there is a big difference between the body builder's chemical choices with their cycles and how they dose compared to Hormone therapy which does not cycle and is a life time commitment ( or as long as you want to do so) and HRT does not require changing doses constantly with on/off and such....once you find your sweet spot!

Bolds. You're right. This forum is probably not the most ideal place for feedback for his particular situation. Feel free to move it to the HRT forum. I just don't want to see the guy get taken to cleaners by this place. He has a legitimate medical issue and places like Cenegenics take full advantage of that. Before you know it, he'll have invested $20k+ through "evaluations", supps, and pharmaceuticals when almost 100% of the cost could be reimbursed through insurance. Insurances doesn't reimburse for the costs associated with places like Cenegenics for a reason. They're not stupid. His blood work alone qualifies him for HRT. His total testosterone is on par with an 80yr old man and he's only 51.

I can't move it...just have him start a whole new thread in the Hormone Replacement forum where there are some GREAT guys who have similar issues....kinda a secret club actually!...he will become one of the family there...the members there really take care of each other once the ball starts rolling..
insurance is always a sticky issue..hence another reason to go over to the other forum for tips..

Perhaps because what you are after and what he is after are two entirely different things...plus you are 37 (I checked) and he is 51...that 13-14 years of "T" or "less T" can make a BIG difference! The guys in the other forum are on the same page as your buddy. I am waiting for his thread! Where did he go? Tell him to come on over!
