Injuries on a cycle
I was curious what y'all would do if you get injured in the middle of a cycle that affects your workouts? Thanks for the advice

i guess it depends on the severity of the injury, if it prohibits you from doing most exercises and you are gonna be out for a length of time, then stop the cycle and run pct get healthy and try again.

if you have trained long enough to build up the connective tissue and tendons the risk of injury would be alot less, although not impossible. it is recomended that at least 3-5 years of training before cycling to ensure a solid base for new gains. please dont consider running a cycle if your training experiance falls below the recomended time frame (it's for your own safety and well being)

It depends, if its just tweaked or something I train around it for a cpl wks and maybe do some rehab on it but if its surgery type injury I would prob come off.

I've been training for a long time, over 35 years. I went on my first cycle and got so stinking strong that I over did it and hurt my shoulder. It was something fierce. Just too excited so I didn't use common sense. High levels of Test can dry out your collegian in your joints. So explosive movements or too much stress could injure them. Dry joints, super strength, excited athlete is not a good combo. Accident waiting to happen. Train hard but be moderate. Just remember that if you get injured you're gonna lose your gain.

This really depends on the injury and your motivation level and if you are able to improvise. I jacked up my back about 4-5 weeks ago doing stupid heavy shrugs. Had to quit the workout that day immediately, went to the chiropractor and started adjustments and deep tissue massages and was made comfortable within a couple days. I Continued my cycle/training experimenting with what I could to to get around the pain. I kept rolling hard using benches more and machines since they didnt incorporate the problem area. I am still rehabbing those muscles working the back miminally and seeing the chiro. My back workouts are suffering as well as the size. However everything else is great. I figure Im really going to have to work the abs to support my back some until I can get it healed.

I suffer from shoulder dislocations, usually once a year whilst partying lol
I've been popping my shoulder since 2002 and generally once a year..
Usually I need to strap my arm in a sling for a few days and then build my strength back into my shoulder, getting back to the gym in about 2 weeks, tkaing me about 3-4 weeks to get back to where I was
I once popped it whilst in the middle of a cycle; perhaps it was stupid, but 2 days later I was back in the gym benching 110kg
It has popped a few times since and I've recovered; my last dislocation was in July 2010; however now, I can't bench press more than 100kg.. last time I did 130kg and my shoulder felt like it was about to tear off.. so I stick to seated press..
Depending on your injury, if you can persist keep going.. the smart thing would be to stop

I like this post because 4 weeks ago i was benching 405 lbs. I usually dont have a problem with this weight but for some reason my right shoulder made 3 louds snaps and i dropped the weight. Here it is 4 weeks later and i still cant flat bench or hardly move my shoulder. I have kept running my cycle but i am starting to think i need an MRI and probably will have to go off cycle(as much as i hate it). My advice is if you are going to be off for awhile, then its probably better to stop. I can totally relate to this post, i am suffering as i write this thread(ouch).

I'm currently in the middle of a cycle and about 3 weeks ago injured my forearm whilst performing lat pulldowns. The pain is in my forearm, but I think its my bicep tendon as my forearm screams whenever I do curls.
