    Can we get the post counts back up?

    I know these were taken off due to people pming the senior members about sources but i really don't know how effective it has been? Not saying it's important to have a big number of posts by your name, but it's cool to see your numbers going up- it also may help to keep senior members/vets slightly more involved.... just a thought.

    personally, i have no opinion on this. seeing how many posts someone has is quick and easy in the avatar box, however i don't see it necessary. i'd rather someone pm me based on intelligent information i try to pass along and not just for a # next to my handle. just my thoughts.

    the post counts were removed b/c way too many members became post whores (never me though ) And too many members were basing peoples knowledge on the amount of posts they have. When infact post count means shit!

    People were pming the guys with high post counts for sources. Once you put up something in your info that says "don't pm me for sources, fucktards" people pretty much stop.

    Well i had to at least try to get it back... all the real post whores are on elite

    I think post counts are good to show how active members are on the board.

    true true, but then again if you really wanted to know you can click on someones profile and it will tell you their post count

    People should be able to get a feel for who the active contributing members of the board are within a few days of reading the posts. Personally I rather have someone that has been looking at the board for a few days PM with a question (not a source of course) than some Kid that just signed up and sees that I have 900posts so I must know my stuff PM me.
