    Question Injection Site question

When you inject in your glutes i tend to go a bit lower than the recommended area, on the more fatty tissue area, does this make a diffrence, am i not getting the full benefit of my gear ?

The goal is to get it into the muscle tissue. Why not just aim a little higher? If you Sub-Qed it, I think you would know so you probably shouldn't worry. Unless you have a lot of fat back there. Just put where you're supposed to and you won't have to be concerned.

Im thinking he may go a little lower due to the size of the pin being used. that 1.5 looks really long and the lower side looks mighty thick compared to the upper. I used to do the same thing until I finally decided to try it higher and found it was fine.

Do you really feel the entire medical community is wrong? Whats the worse thing that could happen?

Using care in choosing the location for administering the injection will minimize the possibility of hitting a bone, large blood vessel, or the sciatic nerve. Remember, if an injection is given outside of the upper outerquadrant, irreparable injury may be done to the sciatic nerve or the needle may penetrate the gluteal artery and this can cause significant bleeding from the vessel.

Just stick with the gameplan its a good one...
