Var cycle: should i start it now or wait?

Happy thanksgiving everyone I want to start a 10 week Var cycle but i was wondering if i should loose more weight first. I was 278, i am 250 right now. Been on a low carb/high protien diet. i am 6'2 dont know my body fat, but when i was 6% bf my weight was 228. I was gonna wait until i got down to 240 to jump on the Var but i am not sure. My goal is to remain at 230lbs and maintain great strength.

I would confirm your BF, establish your blood levels as a benchmark, cut the fat and jump on it.

You are going to get many different opinions on this one many will say cut some weight first. IMO if your diet and routine is in check go ahead with it but 6-8 weeks not 10.

@Powerws where would i begin if i wanted to get my blood levels checked?. @MrGreen thank you i will wait until i get my weight down to 230 to start doing the var at 70 a day, but i do not want to get any bigger i have all the size in the world just want to maintain hard muscle and keep my abs tight. I will continue to do cardio ED with lifting EOD. thanks for your advice i really appreciate it.
