Draw back to, e.g. 0.4ml but inject only 0.3 ?

Hi, I have a quick question... Ive been doing this for some time and it just occurred that i may be injecting less than i thought. For example, i want to inject 0.4ml. I pull back to 0.4 , and then tap to get the air bubbles to the top, then push them out of the syringe until i see the first drop of liquid. After this though, the volume marking on the syringe goes down by 0.1ml. Im wondering did I lose that 1ml by pushing the air bubbles out, or is it just stored in the needle, so when I inject i still get the full 0.4ml (ie 0.3ml in syringe barrel and 0.1ml in needle)? I hope I was clear in the question.

    Thanks for any help!!

That .1ml won't make or break you, man.

Thanks, but im on TRT , and I use 250mg /ml test, and take 0.4ml per week, so 0.4 ml is 100mg, but 0.3 ml is 75mg, so its quite a difference, no ?

Given that new info I would say yes that .1 would make a difference to you if you are already dialed in on your trt dosage. Then again if you have been doing that for a while and have still felt that your trt has been effective then maybe in that circumstance it is irrelevent. IMO .1 missing from 100 mg is different than .1 missing from 500+mg a week.

Thanks Sicko... so do you feel i am losing the 0.1ml by prepping the syringe for injection (ie pushing air out and pushing plunger till first drop comes out). , or does the needle hold any volume after you have 'prepped' it for injection.

If not, then i have lost 0.1 ml and will just draw to 0.5ml next time to account for the loss. If so, I guess im ok?

Yeah, you would only be getting .3ml, since that last .1ml is staying in the hub of the syringe.
In the future, pull back to the .3 line after purging out the air while the pin is still in the vial (giving you a true .4ml once you factor in the .1ml of oil in the hub), then pull the needle out of the vial and draw in another .2ml of air. Now inject at a downward angle so that the .2ml of air stay at the back of the syringe by the plunger and are the last to go. This will force out more of the oil so that you aren't wasting like .15ml each shot. It's fine to inject a bit if air. You'd have to mainline like 5ml to cause an air embolism.
