How Did Your Routine And Diet Change While On A Cycle?

Hi there Im currently in a cycle but dont want to get into my routine as I want to know what people did when they went on for diet and routine. My questions are.

    1. Did you add or drop more sets?

    2. Did you work the same part twice a day six hours apart?

    3. Do parts like abs and calves be trained everyday?

    4. Did you add more meals to your diet?

    Thanks for reading.

On cycle when putting on size myself I; eat as much as humanly possible but choice foods I aim for 5k calories with tons of proteins. My workouts are very long, I lift HEAVY sets 6-8 reps 3-4 sets 2 minutes between sets.

I work the same body part 1-2x week alternating groups on cycle

abs and calf training- controversial. Technically you use both daily so they are used to the stress. I personally believe you can train these groups daily. However..... 2-3 days a weeks will be plenty. just make sure to really work them good.

Eat every 2-3 hours religiously (set an alarm)

The above are my opinions and what I use myself for mass- if you are looking to harden or cut, then the post above will not be adequate.

a lot of people are going to come in here and say nothing changes, but that is pure bull$hit. If they aren't changing anything, then what they are doing is wrong either on cycle or before their cycle.

Me personally I raise my carbs and protein really high, about 2g of protein per lb and 2.5g carbs per lb. Of course you can experiment with this or with a different dietary plan. It's all different. You don't need to add more meals to your diet, but you can increase the amount you eat each meal. Whether you eat 3x per day or 7x, makes no difference as long as your macros are what you need at the end of the day. You can also get away with more cheat meals on cycle, but only up to a certain point

As for my workouts, I go much higher volume since my body can handle it on cycle and my motivation increases. I train 5 days per week instead of 4 when off

abs and calves I train every 3 days usually. For cardio I try to play basketball once a week. Too much cardio is a horrible idea on a bulk. Don't go more than 2x per week max

Good save on the cardio AMD, cardio is bad for bulking!! for my cardio I only walk 2-3 days a week on the treadmill for 20-45min depending on my schedule. I use a speed of 4 and 12 on incline. This keeps my heart rate at 133 +/-3 depending on my breathing. I still think this may be too much so there are now 2 points of reference for you to work with.

I will train 2x daily sometimes, but not the same body part. I think you will find many opinions on this subject. To best answer you need to experiment and see what is best for your body

Things defiantly change, Before my stuff even kicked in my appetite had gone up and workout intensity. I feel there is a psychological side to it, you feel more motivated and more committed to what you are doing.

As for training, i still train 4,5 days a week. I believe rest days are important. And i personally wouldn't train twice a day. Although i may go to the gym in the morning, then go swimming at night.

Train calves with legs and abs and obliques when ever i feel like it.

As for meals, I didn't add more but increased the quality. Cut out fizzy drinks completely. A can of coke feels like a treat lol

This is in fact a reality, while on cycle you will find increased motivation. The most important thing to remember is take time off! 2 days a week is good as far from each other as possible. Although recovery time is quicker you can always over train.

I tend to over train . When I finish my regular routine I think I need 1 more set , then I might even do 2 . Just can't make it out the gym door .
I wanna eat all the time .

Yeah 2 days rest a week is good i think. Everyone is different though, its trial and error. Its all about finding out how your body grows and you will be the only one who can figure that out.
