Sleep is extremely important for gains, especially if you aren't running a potent AAS like Tren.
Without sleep, it will be much more difficult for your body to stay anabolic, your test levels drop, your appetite goes down the shitter (for me, at least), cortisol rises, and your muscles never have time to rebuild, etc...
I've heard a med student on a board say that 8.5 hours is ideal, but I don't know his source (though it sounds about right to me). However, not everyone requires the same amount of sleep, and you should already know how much sleep is best for you, since you have been experimenting with it for...every day of your life.

the best times to sleep are from 10- 6 a.m. That's when the body recovers the most. Far as how much sleep between 6-10 hours. The average person only burns 70 calories per hour while sleeping. Compare that to how many you burn while awake, moving, stressed, increased heart rate, etc. So relaxing and sleeping helps. So if say 5-6 hours of sleep, nap or rest. Also some sleep aids are not actual sleep aids. Let me make this clear,......Some pills that are used for sleep actually have weight gaining as side effects. For instance an anti-depressant can be used for sleep or tryc drugs( prescribed ) but have weight gain as side effect. Only one or two real sleep prescribed drug around, just for sleep. I don't know if I can name it because of the rules here. I am new to these boards.

    Sources:
    Finishing science degree
Interest in polysomnography( sleep med )
Double major in OTA( occupational therapy assist ).

You can name/discuss them, so long as you don't talk about where to obtain them illegally.

The clinical name is Restoril, and the generic name.....is Temazepam. It's specifically designed for sleep. Unlike say other drugs. Remeron may help you sleep but it's used mainly for other things. Like some meds that treat depression/anxiety are used for fibromyalgia to help relax the body/pain.

I read an article once that every one has a natural clock, and our body make cortisol to bring us from sleeping stage to wake up stage, and they said that when you wake up, just jump out the bed and get a hot shower, if you go back and to try to sleep longer, your body will make more cortisol. I really have some problems and i take lunesta some times and got good nights of sleep.

I take Calcium + Magnesium 30 minutes before bed; it knocks me out. ZMA works good too but it's more expensive.
