Are you talking about when you get back to normal, or on the current protocol the doctor has you on? Either way, you need to worry about getting back to normal, and not about whether or not you are getting gains. Yes, this would be a perfect time to get your diet in top form, and yes, continue to work out, but if you are worried about massive gains while your body is in the midst of trying to recover, you'll be grossly disappointed. The doctor doesn't have you on a "let's help this guy build muscle" protocol, he's got you on a "let's help this guy get back to normal so, in the future, he doesn't have to resort to using two popsicle sticks and a couple of rubber bands to make sure his dick stays up" protocol.
