First: Great site. I've been watching for a few weeks and reading up in the educational forums. Seems like a great resource for newbies and veterans alike.
Next: After hitting a plateau, I've decided to try a short (8 week) cycle - my first. Here's a little background: I'm 38, 6'0", 19lbs, ? body fat but I've no doubt I'm in the upper teens or even low 20's. Horrible. No known medical conditions. Recently given a thumbs-up at yearly physical examination. (No high blood pressure, lipid profile good (great, actually) and so on. Diet is currently under control (for the past 2 months), although the year prior to that was crap. Work stress (changed jobs by starting my own firm), new house, new marriage, etc. All bad excuses for letting myself go to the sh*tter with diet and exercise, I know but... that's what happened and now I'm moving on.
Four years ago, I had a personal trainer. Great experience. I made some significant progress with a lot of hard work and focus on what I was (and wasn't) putting into my body. In fact, the results were pretty astounding. In 6 months, I dropped 20 pounds of fat, leaned up nicely and developed a "toned" physique. Six months later and I felt great, looked great, slept well, etc. While I didn't look muscular, I did look in-shape. (I just don't have the genetics to be "big" and honestly not looking for that.) I've always been active, playing sports in college and after (rugby, baseball).
I've hit the gym again for the past 2 months and been working out hard. Diet is in check and paying attention to eating quality proteins (lean meat, whey proteins, etc.) and avoiding almost all processed carbs. I'll eat a small amount of whole grains and at least one serving of veggies (usually green) at each meal. I usually eat 5-6 times/day - small meals. I'm feeling a lot better - increased energy, better sleep, and so on.
Here's my problem: When I did this 4 years ago - I dropped weight and toned up in an astoundingly short amount of time. This time, my body seems to have a mind of its own. I'm doing everything right as far as diet and exercise is concerned but I'm not seeing the results I saw the in the past.
SO (sorry for the long intro but I don't want to be one of those putzs who ask "What should I take" without giving a full history...) this has led me to the conclusion that getting older sucks and I'm probably not going to see the results than I saw in the past.
I've been checked for low testosterone and results came back "within normal limits" although I was on the low end of normal. I wanted additional testing but the answer was a form "no" from insurance. Go figure.
My question (finally):
I'm considering an 8 week cycle of Dianabol, Deca and Winstrol.
- Dianabol (oral) at 40mg/day, divided into 2 doses (8am, 8pm)
- Deca (400mg/week divided into 2 doses at 200/mg per dose) 200mg every 4 days.
- Winstrol (injectable) - 50mg EOD
Following with PCT, of course: Clomid beginning 21 days after last Deca injection for 4 weeks, hcg to run concurrent during cycle and continue until 14th day after cycle (7 days prior to starting clomid)
Here are my questions:
1. I've seen a few people say that a cycle of Deca less than 12 weeks is useless while others are proponents of shorter cycles (8 weeks). Obviously, I don't want to waste my time or $ on a "useless" cycle. Any thoughts here?
2. Should I consider adding a Test to the cycle? I've seen varied opinions here. I know that the Deca is going to shut-down my natural Test production even at 100mg/week so it doesn't seem like a big stretch to me that adding T would be illogical. However, I don't want to add another item to the stack that could place additional strain on my liver. On a side note: I did pick-up some topical testosterone on a recent trip out of the country. I have about 2 months of 10mg topical. I know that a dose this small is laughable in terms of anabolic effects, but if it's enough to combat erectile dysfunction and low libido, then that's all I'm looking for, anyway.
3. The Winstrol dose seems small but here's the deal - I can't give myself a shot every single day. It's just not going to happen. (Yes, I'm a wimp when it comes to injections.) If there is no benefit to 50mg EOD, then I'll cut it out completely. Thoughts here?
Thanks, all!
