Pregnenolone/DHEA/Anavar Cycle
Age: 50
Ht: 5'11"
Wt: 190lbs
BF: 15%
Yrs training: 30+
AAS experience: 3 cycles over the past 2 1/2 years, HGH for the last 2 years
Goals: Get leaner and tighter. I'm really interested in the "well being" aspect of this cycle.
After quite a bit of reading I'm interested doing an 8 week cycle with;
Pregnenolone : 50mg/ed
DHEA : 25mg/ed
Anavar : 80mg/ed
Test Prop : 200mg/wk
Anyone have experience with a cycle like this? Any recommendations?
Pregnenolone - Experiments with humans and animals show that pregnenolone enhances the function of the same pro-memory areas of the mid-brain that are damaged by cortisol. A 1994 report by Guth and colleagues found that pregnenolone actually promoted successful healing of otherwise crippling spinal cord injuries in rats. Ray Peat, Ph.D., has reported successful use of pregnenolone to rid the body of cortisol-induced excessive fluid and puffiness, promoting a more lean and taut, youthful appearance to the face. Steiger (1993) used a mere 1 mg of pregnenolone in human volunteers to increase the restorative delta, slow-wave, stage IV sleep. (Larger doses of pregnenolone taken inappropriately at night may, however, also promote insomnia through 'over-energization'). Thus, pregnenolone seems in many ways to be a natural 'antidote' to the 'dark side' of cortisol, which tends to manifest ever more with aging and chronic stress.
DHEA - DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone) is an endogenous hormone (made in the human body), and secreted by the adrenal gland. DHEA serves as precursor to male and female sex hormones (androgens and estrogens). DHEA levels in the body begin to decrease after age 30, and are reported to be low in some people with anorexia, end-stage kidney disease, type 2 diabetes (non-insulin dependent diabetes), AIDS, adrenal insufficiency, and in the critically ill. DHEA levels may also be depleted by a number of drugs, including insulin, corticosteroids, opiates, and danazol. There is sufficient evidence supporting the use of DHEA in the treatment of adrenal insufficiency, depression, induction of labor, and systemic lupus erythematosus.
Anavar - This steroid is also used among medical circles for the treatment of osteoporosis and muscle building in burn injuries and diseases that cause muscle wasting in its victims. It is not androgenic ; therefore the side effects of its usage are not many. If used as prescribed on patients, there will be no side effects at all. It is only when it is abused that Anavar causes side effects.

If using somatropin, I see no need for pregnenolone.
