oral steroids and OTC medicine
When you guys take an oral steroid do you try to avoid OTC medicine such as tylenol?

absolutely. Your liver is already working overtime so why make it worse..
However, if you have way too much pain, a little pain medication ( meaning once or twice max ) is no biggie cause you shouldnt be on any orals for longer than 6-10 weeks anyways...
jmo....

i avoid alcohol, perscirption pain pills and tylenol on orals, with the rare exception of a glass of red wine.

So orals put extra strain on your liver only? As opposed to injectables I mean.

You should always cut out anything else that strains your liver when using orals. They aren't just hard on your liver, but your lipids as well.

Yeah glad someone mentioned the lipids part. When i run orals i also take 5mg of Nolva a day since its been shown to have a positive effect on cholesterol levels depending on how harsh the oral is

I wouldn't bother, since it is also hepatotoxic (though less-so than steroids ).
Besides, I doubt 5mg of Nolva is going to make any difference when you're derailing your lipids with Winstrol or Anavar .
Your best bet IMO for protecting your lipids is to supplement with UDCA, fish oil, niacin, etc, and do cardio.Last edited by Bonaparte; 02-03-2011 at 02:54 AM.
