    Fasting

    Has anyone here done any research on "Fasting" ? I am aware that this is a bizarre process to inquire about on a muscle building forum, but I bring this up because of the benefits of purging the human body system. I was reading up on the benefits of fasting and how the body removes toxins during the process. I thought about all the different things that we put into our bodies, not to mention the bad foods that eat (preservatives, etc.). So, I wondered if anyone has thought of this as an option at some point.

    Fasting is talked about since biblical times as a very healthy process that we should implement into our lives. I really think that it's an underated beneficial process for complete health maintenance.

    I fast for 24 hours every month. Have been doing it since I was 20. I feel great and have had absolutely no bad side effects that I know of.

    Eod fasting is becoming a big thing. Datbtrue has an awesome write up about it on his site.

    Now I am glad that I inquired about this on here. I actually felt like I would get negative responses regarding it. But, I'm seriously thinking about doing a day or two, maybe more. If I go more, I may just stick to some light greens once or twice a day.

    Ironside.. what is that "Eod" fasting that you speak of, bro ?

    Ironside.. I just looked up EOD fasting and it stands for "Every Other Day". I need to find out more about it because I can't grasp doing this more than once in a long time. Not eating every other day doesn't make sense for someone trying to build. I think this yields better results for an athlete needing stamina and energy. To build muscle is another animal. Just my guesstimation with what I've read so far.

    not to sure about fasting dude 80% of the guys i here wanna get bigger not really eat away at their muscles lol.

    I do understand the concept of fasting but bodybuilders need food and food and more food lol...
