Experience: Weight trained on and off for 10 years now, lots of cardio (4 days/week/70minutes or 1000calories) non-stop for 10 years, but have enjoyed food and alcohol too much in last 4 years.
Goals: Gain muscle, reduce Body Fat. Would like to gain 6 -8 lb muscle in 8 weeks. Would like to gain about 20+ lb in total, lol, but don't want to be massive, just noticeable and toned. Best way to do this is to commit to gaining muscle or loosing bodyfat.
Question 1: I have been doing 40mg in AM (6:00 a.m.) and that's it but I read somewhere that I should break it up. Also, is 40 mg enough? I read that a safe dose is between 40mg and 60mg. Should I try 60mg? How long should one cycle be? How long should the rest stage be before starting again?
the sweet spot for anavar is somewhere between 40mg on the low end and 100mg on the high side. While we are here to help we don't like to spoonfeed new members about cycle length and dosages. There are lots of threads about anavar cycles and the profile of anavar will be something you should read.
Question 2: My gym cycle is currently M,T,W,TH,F,SA and involves weight-training and cardio. Do I take anavar on my off days? How much cardio should I be doing per day?
if you're training right with weights 6 days a week is way to much. Spend some time in our workout section to learn about splits IMO you should be weight training 4 days a week max
Question 3: Should I be taking other stuff like creatine? (I nearly died taking NO2 yesterday - half-kidding, I felt awful and cranky). What other stuff should I be taking to maximize gain?
creatine is good. BCAA's once again this is your decision and you shouldn't just take anyones word about it. Back to research again
Question 4: The doozy. What should my nutrition/eating habits look like? Currently:
6:00 a.m.: 1 cup of oat meal or organic gluten- and sugar-free corn-based cereal with skim milk and 1 litre of water and a protein stake (60 grams protein)
9:00 a.m.: I am starving so I have an egg with lettuce, tomato and low-fat ham on an English muffin. I begin working on another protein shake (finish around 11:00)
12:00 p.m.: 1 cup of rice with broccoli and chicken
5:00 p.m.: Protein shake (60 grams protein) and something light for dinner.
Your diet needs work. You've got gaps of over 5 hours when you're not eating. You need to be eating 6-8 meals a day so you should be eating every 3 hours if you want to add muscle or even if you're looking to loose fat. Spend some time in our diet forum
I am a total novice with nutrient and training and any help would be amazing.
Thanks.
