    Busy Guy Needs Diet Tricks?

I just stopped 5 days into an anavar cycle to get my diet under control.

I would consider myself a “super busy” person with a full-time (desk) job and a full-time graduate student (in the area of toxicology, ironically). I work 40 hours per week and spend 12 hours/week in class or lab and about 20 hours/week doing research and writing my thesis (and very little time for my girlfriend). That said, I still make time for the gym. I have exactly 1.5 hours for the gym M,T,W,F,SA mornings (which have traditionally been all cardio in the tune of 1200-1400 calories burned five days a week).

With respect to diet, I don’t eat fast food and generally only eat organic and non-processed food (which is pricey and I do understand the irony in taking steroids while being a tree hugger and is something I must reconcile at some point). I also drink protein shakes (generally 60 grams protein/three times per day). I am game for doing prep work for lunches/snacks, etc on Sundays and can even keep potatoes or other relatively non-perishable foodstuff at my desk. But I need ideas/suggestions/tricks on how to up a healthy dietary intake on a busy schedule.

I am 31, 6 foot, about 225 lb and about 24% body fat when last I was measured(see desk job). Oddly enough, I have been told by my nutritionist that I actually do not eat enough food. I come in around 1500-1700 calories/day. Again, busy guy here. Also, I get full easy and feel like puking if I force myself to eat.

As a potential contraindicator, I drink about 3-4 Starbucks Venti (20 oz) drip coffee per day and for a period of a decade I popped Hydoxycut and caffeine pills three times a day. I now apparently have “an unusually high tolerance to stimulants”. Please tell me that caffeine can stay in my diet, if only 1 or 2 20 oz drip.

Because this forum is a nightmare for navigating or finding succinct information, is there a website or book I should be reading before proceeding?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

**** man... IDK... I don't now much about cutting... but no one else has replied... so here's my 2cents. Personally, I don't drink coffee. I understand some people love/need it. I'd say try to limit it. So much isn't "good" I'm sure (just like anything) If you really want to get dedicated... replace the coffee with large amounts of water. Our bodies are water... what better thing for it right?
In the gym... I'd say stick with intense cardio, but mabe try incorporating some weight training for 20-30 minutes. A few sets of low weight/high reps to warm you up and then get into your cardio. That will burn fat and also build muscle which will give you definition.
As far as diet... I'm sure you have a fridge at work right? Have the misses put together salads that you can take with you everyday. Garden salad with tuna/chicken, avacado. For snacks at your desk... Trail mix, Peanuts and what not are always good.
I try to put on weight, never cut... so I have to force myself to eat as well. What works better is eating 6 small meals throughout the day, than trying to stuff giant ones into your stomach 3 times a day.
I've never taken anavar or "cut" but I think some of the advice I just gave should help, and if you start the anavar again... you'll see great results. Good luck.
