Diet Help for first Anavar Cycle

Hey folks, will be starting first cycle of Anavar here soon. Was wondering if the diet I'm currently on will be sufficient to lose fat and pack on a few pounds of lean muscle. any input or help is greatly appreciated.

Meal 1: 9 egg whites, 1.5 cups of oats, 1 cup coffee, L-arginine, and multivitamin

Meal 2: During work, MRP bar or shake

Meal 3: 8 oz Tilapia, cup or cup 1/2 of brown rice, asparagus( 1 hour before workout), L-arginine

Pre workout: 2 scoops USP Labs Jack3d

Post workout: scoop and a half of 100% Whey Gold Standard from ON

Meal 4: around 5oz lean ground turkey, medium sized baked potato, asparagus, L-Arginine

Meal 5: around 5oz lean ground turkey, full or half cup of brown rice,

Meal 6: around 5oz lean ground turkey, medium sized baked potato, asparagus

Meal 7(before bed): 2 scoops of CNP Pro Peptide MRP, 3 capsules ZMA

Lean ground turkey is 99% and every other day I alternate it with 93/7 Ground Angus.

    Thanks guys.

If you can maintain the 7 meals then you should make great gains..

I have found that preparing meals on a Sunday so they are ready to go in the fridge for the week..

    What are your stats?

    Age
    Height
    Weight
    BF %
    Training exp
    Cycle Exp (if any)

Your diet is not too bad but there are some fixes... Potato is no good.... it too starchy and I would kill the carbs in meal 6 and eat 15g of fat with no carbs

If you're looking to cut I would actually elimate more carbs then just in meal 6, now that I think about it

Been training on and off since high school. Get into these rythyms where I key myself in for about 6 months or so but then lose motivation. Time to start really focusing here.

Well in the past week and a half or so I've cut 4-5lbs and 2-3% bodyfat. My cardio is 7 minutes warmup pre workout/15 minutes post workout. off days are 40 minutes of cardio. I want the fat to keep coming off as im pretty much taking no fats in. But I'm hoping for my weight to increase with lean muscle over the course of the cycle. Hopefully jump up to 190 or so. Am I thinking this all through wrong?

I don't think you'll see the results you want from anavar at 17% BF. its more of a cutter when you're 11 or 12% and looking to push under that 10% mark. Even with a strict cutting diet, I'll think you will see the same fat lose with or without Var at your current stage.

Fats will not make you fat.... fats are an essential part to you losing fat.... carbs can actually make you hold fat more so than fats.... you just need to take in the right kinda of fats. If you're losing that kind of BF just through exercise, you should keep it up.... as stated above Var will not help you shed fat any faster then you're already achieving.

sorry if I mislead anyone with this. But my main goal is to lean up. To add size and shape to my muscles and increase my strength. The fat burning is not the main goal but does follow behind leaning and adding LEAN size and shape to my muscles. Do I have the wrong idea here?

You have to do one or the other.... either you're looking to cut BF or looking to put on size. You have to choose and focus on one, not both. Although you will achieve both during the process, one of them will be much more noticeable.... Example: You won't lose 5% bf and gain 15lbs of lean muscle.... just not gonna happen with this cycle. However you may gain 6lbs of LM and lose 1 or 2% BF

ok simple. Gain LM. how do I need to alter my diet in order to maximize this but still keep it lean? and do I need to make changes to my cardio then as well?

Personally, I think you've got a great diet/plan laid out, I just think you need to change some minor details off your diet and your cardio.

Catch 22... to gain LM, you should cut down your BF first. Focus on cardio and a proper cutting diet for 1 or 2 months.... however long it takes you to hit 12 to 13% BF then look at an Anavar cycle with a nice clean bulk diet. This way when you're done the cycle you'll have the LM and have a nice low BF and cut look. Just my opinion, I'm sure others may chime in

Meal 4: around 5oz lean ground turkey, medium sized baked potato, asparagus, L-Arginine... change the baked potato to a better carb source. yams would be a good example.

Meal 5: around 5oz lean ground turkey, full or half cup of brown rice,

firstly it would help if you'd give all your macros... protein/carbs/fats + cal

but for the most part you have the right idea.

you guys are hilarious..... this is not guess work... this has to come down to exacts.... I bet that diet is not close to 3500 calories, as long as that turkey is as lean as you say it is. I've given my opinion.... Good Luck

I disagree, nobody besides BB'ers and only the most dedicated athletes have perfect diets. His routine needs fixing, and we are working on his diet. thank you.

Thats seems like a good spread to me. I'd add a little more cardio with all those carbs but thats just me.
