Thread: Starting a T3 Cycle

    Starting a T3 Cycle

So, I've done some research into taking Cytomel T3, this is my first cycle so I've been pretty vigilant with my research.

I'm going to separate it 10%/30%/60%, that way I can see how my body reacts to the Cytomel. (yes I'm aware people say this isn't necessary, but I'm more comfortable with doing it this way). I don't want to take steroids so to counteract the muscle loss I'm going to have a bout 1.5g of protein for each pound. I'm also considering taking a cycle Clenbuterol the last week of the cycle of T3 and continuing to counteract the slowing of my metabolism while my thyroid is readjusting.

Now, I know most people won't agree with this, but I'm taking this primarily for weight loss for wrestling. I'm an active wrestler, I've let my weight get a bit too far gone in the off season and I'd like to get back to a lower weight ASAP.

I currently weigh 160 at 12-18% body fat. At 145 I'm 6 or 7 % body fat and want to get as close to that as possible with this cycle

After my wrestling career is done I plan to become a body builder.

    Thanks!

EDIT: What if I were to take Retain 2 or another anti catabolic with my regimine of T3? Would that + high protein be enough to counteract most of the muscle loss??

    Summary:
    -25mcg of T3 with 100mcg at max. 10%/30%/60% For 4-6 weeks
-A possible cycle of Clenbuterol starting the last week of T3 cycle to compensate for thyroid adjustment. For 4-6 weeks
-Will be having 1.5g protein/lb or 240g daily to counteract muscle loss
    -I weigh 160 @ 12-17% body fat

P.S. I know lots of people will tell me not to do this, but any tips or information on how to do this properly, safely, and most effectively would be most appreciated.

i thought as a wrestler you would need to weigh in at 250 pounds at your height?

How old are you? Protein isn't going to do much for protecting your muscles from T3.

@ Layeazy, what type of wrestling are you talking about? I'm talking about collegiate / olympic style wrestling.

@ RaZr, I'm 18, almost 19. Is there any other way to combat the muscle loss apart from tons of protein? The goal is to loose as much fat weight while retaining as much muscle as possible.

Edit: I should add I'm planning to lift weights / run for cardio during these cycles. Probably not too much intensive wrestling.

Working out and using a lot of protein might help but short of an AAS not much will protect it. Keep in mind it is a hormone, unfortunately I'm not that familiar with T3. What is your time frame?

Are protein shakes okay? Or should I just opt out for a lot of natural protein? I was hoping to be completely done within 6-8 weeks...However, it can't be any later than 12. I was also contemplating a E/C/A stack, but I don't think it'll have the desired results in the time period that I'm hoping to get things done by.

Natural Protein is the best protein, but supplementing a bit is OK. Your going to lose muscle if you do this, as for how much I dont know. You are too young to be messing up your hormones though. I would recommend a hardcore diet and lots of cardio and ECA, I would make a thread in the diet section those guys will help you out a lot.

From most studies I've read I'd conclude that my thyroid's hormone production would turn back to normal after my cycle, but you could be right, perhaps I should wait. I'll post a thread in the diet section with a link to this topic as well. Thanks, I appreciate the help.
