Does my doctor have me on the best anabolic combination?
My doctor put me on anabolic steroids because I am underweight and my testosterone level is very low(6.2). He currently has me on 300ml/wk of testosterone cypionate and just started me on 10mg/day of avanar(oxandrolene) yesterday. I have been on the injections for about a month and gained a little weight but nothing major, and haven't noticed a real difference in the gym either. Will adding the avanar show me the difference I am looking for, or is there a better combination I should be using. My doctor is very helpful and willing to prescribe me whatever I think will help me the most, so I would really appreciate any advice that the experienced members could provide me.
Thanks!

Your doc is willing to prescribe you whatever YOU think will help you the most???
How long has your doc been practicing medicine?...
So you are on TRT...but 300ml/week? how much is that? 100mgs/week is the norm, no?
And why is your test 6.2 when you´re in WV? Isn´t the US scale like 250-1100?

stats first (age, weight, body fat % estimate, goals, hows ur diet)

If you are not seeing any change on that dose, well then you either aren't eating or don't really work out.
My body changed on 200/mg a week Test Cyp only with light workouts and a crap diet.
Edit: crap, I didn't ask stats because I thought he was on TRT.

Wow my kind of doctor LOL I guess the croakers in WV had to do something after the crackdown on oxycontin. I am suprized he choose anavar as it negatively affects appetite in many people. Equipose on the other hand stimulates appetite however I don't know if even this doc can precribe you equipose.
The reason I make the comments is 300mgs of test cyp is far in access of the dosage normally prescribed for TRT and I would assume he plans to keep you on this medication? Maybe some of the vets can give some input but this whole thing seems strange to me.

Try to clear some things up
LOL It's not just the low body weight that my doctor is willing to prescribe the steroids . I have Multiple Sclerosis. When I started I was 6'6 167 lbs. Now I'm up to 181 but no increase in muscle mass. I work out everyday between 1-2 hrs a day. Anything else that will help just let me know

I have heard of patients that have certain diseases such as It’s used clinically for AIDS related wasting and even in recovery routines for burn victims. Even though it does often decrease appetite In cases like those the weight gain was dramatic and really helped other than that, thats the only time i've really heard of a Doc prescribing it.

Boldenone Undeclynate is for use in animals only. a doctor isn't going to use it for trt/hrt, or a wasting disease.

Ask your doc about HGH, and how it would effect MS.

Ya a friend of mine has MS and said a higher dose of GH at 2-3 even 4 iu's a day put it in remission????? IDK if he is just taking that or what but I do know that was a big factor in it.

The 300mg per wk from a doctor is pretty generous,,most wont go over 100mg. Honestly the 10mg ANAVAR is barely nothing. Thats a small dose for a man.

1) You're working out too much. Lift heavier and limit the sessions 1hr per day, 4 days per week.
2) Ask about HGH and if he would prescribe it.
3) You need more Anavar . 30-40mg is the least I would bother with. But you'd only want to run it for a few months at a time.

Thanks to everyone for all of your help. I really do appreciate it. I don't really know anything about this. I have worked out before I got sick but nothing anything as serious as I do now. I had heard of studies that showed promise in stopping the muscular degeneration in MS by using anabolic steroids , so I asked my doctor to allow me to try it. I will ask him about the HGH, I have just been going on his sugggestion. He actually started me on 200ml/every 2 weeks but I didn't notice any difference. So he raised it to what it is now. My pharmacist reccommended he change it to Anadrol , instead of the Avanar, but I didn't know which ones was best. Thanks again for all of the great advice!
