Help understanding my Test labs please
I just got some labs back from my doctor, one of which is my test levels.
Testosterone , Total, LC/MS/MS- 502ng/dL
Free Testosterone- 98.4pg/mL
I really don't understand the difference and my doctor didn't exactly elaborate on it for me. Also is this high/low/normal?
Thanks

Your doctor should be happy to explain the labwork, most charts with labwork show a range that is normal then your value. Does your chart have these? Anyway a lot depends on your age but from the little I know. Assuming you are 30 something what is weird is that your total test is in the lower 1/3 rd or average but your free test is very very high.
I don't know what would explain this, have you done AAS or PCT recently? Maybe someone with more knowlege can shed some light on this.

I am 26 years old and have done AAS before but it has been well over a years since my last cycle. My doctors appointment had nothing to do with my test levels, it was for other things, I actually asked to get my test done as well because of my prior AAS use. I believe that is why my doctor didn't really go over that portion with me. She basically just said everything seems to be normal. I did have very low vitamin D tho(25ng/mL). And my liver enzymes were also elevated. AST-39U/L ALT-80U/L.

Range for Total Test is usually 249-836ng/dL
Range for Free Test is usually 9.3-26.5pg/mL
Total test is just the total amount of testosterone circulating your body, free test is the amount that is not bounded and able to be used readily by the body.

Thanks man that was the info I was looking for. So basically my free test is what is actually "working" in my body, correct?
