does anyone take high blood pressure medication while on a cycle????

    Hi everyone,

Question is : Does anyone take medication ( prescribed my a doctor) for HIGH Blood Pressure,to regulate it, while they are on a cycle Of test ???

I'm asking cause , i'm on a third week of test C, and my high blood pressure most of the time is 150/100 sometimes 140/100... i dont think its because of the test C yet because i just entered the third week, but, i'm afraid it will get worst the longer i stay on the cycle...
Ive done about 5 cycles when i was 28 to 35... some of them where heavy cycles ( to me) with 1200 mg of test a week, tren, others with deca , winny ( but always included test) but since i was younger i never bother checking my blood pressure, and always assumed everything was O.k.( but maybe it was that high too without me knowing) now that i'm " older " 39, i do blood work and worry more about things, also because I've got anxiety...lol ... ive never stopped working out, and its been years since since Ive done a cycle, but this year i thought of doing a cycle of test C at 500 mg a week for 12 weeks... now that my blood pressure is this high, i'm not sure If i should come off of it, or If i should go see my doctor to give me some medication to lower my blood pressure...
Not sure how many out here have anxiety , but the ones that have it, know what i'm feeling right now...anything out of normal we ( people with anxiety) start to panic... i stayed alway from tren, deca, winny, Eq, etc...so i would not get anxiety, now i'm getting it because i know my blood pressure is high.
sometimes my blood pressure goes up to 160/100, and that happens 2 times a week, and thats when i do my shot....i take my blood pressure right after and its at 160/100, thats my anxiety kicking in from giving the shot.. then it comes down the rest of the week to 140 or 150/100

Just my experience, but if you have done cycles already before this one particularly if you did not take enough time off you may have high red blood cell count.

I am older and have slightly high blood pressure normally ( 120-128/ 80-85) now on TRT and during a blast with TestC and Deca my blood pressure was all the way up to 158/98 which is dangerous so after doing a little reading about red blood cell build up from steroids I removed 2 pints of blood, 1 pint then after a week another pint. Now 14 days later my blood pressure is down to 134/83 which is great considering that I am currently on a two compound blast.

^^^^^when you say " i did not take enough time off..." do you mean from a cycle???? its been at least 4 years since I've done a cycle... last year i had a cycle planned of test prop, took my first and second shot, got sick, so i stopped everything, and give it away to a friend.. other then that, i haven't done anything...

I would definitly get that blood pressure down. It is a silent killer and affects your body more then you would think from even the eyes to your cardio. No one should ever cycle when they have high blood pressure in the first place since you are asking for even bigger problems(death is right up there) and I am being as blunt as possible. GET IT DOWN!!!!

thats what i'm planning to do; i definitely want to get the blood pressure down ... just came from the doctor and he prescribed me moduretic 5-50 (hydrochlorothiazide and amiloride).
I'm still curious, IF there is people on cycles, that take medication to lower their high blood pressure..
should i completely stop the cycle or i will be O.K. taking the moduretic and continuing the cycle ? as i said, i'm only going into my third week of test C, so i don't think the test is doing this.

Necrosaro... thanks for your input, really appreciated.... in your opinion stop the cycle, or see how it goes with the meds??

That pressure is way to high! No.matter what you do, get your pressure down ASAP. @@Not super knowledgeable about gear as I am learning myself. However, I can speak about hypertension as I am in the medical field. I assume you have your diet in check and you are staying away from salt and caffeine. Those two things can bring ones pressures up. Get your doctor to put you on some BP meds. Then try and find the source of the hypertension. A renal artery ultrasound, MRA of your decending sorts would both be hepful. Renal artery stenosis is often a cause. Are you fit cardiovascularly? If not, you would be surprised what 90 days of cardio can do to help. Just make sure your med is an ace inhibitor and not a beta blocker. Beta blockers can prevent you from.getting a good workout as it restricts the hearts pumping ability. You may want to get your cholesterol checked as that usually goes hand and hand with hypertension, but not always. High cholesterol meds ( statons) can slow muscle growth as well.
Yes there are people that take ace inhibitors while on a cycle, but it is not ideal.

CoQ10 worked wonders for me. I was 140 now in the 128ish....

Heart health should be one of the top concerns of those residing in western or westernized countries. Omega 3 fish oil supplements, coQ10 and other health supplements may help provide the body with some of the nutrients it needs to help maintain cardiovascular wellness.

Thanks for you reply Vtach12.... i went to my doctor yesterday, and he prescribed me moduretic 5-50 (hydrochlorothiazide and amiloride) to lower my blood pressure....my diet is in check, and i just cut OFF all the salt ( just to see if its that), and i drink one coffee in the morning, i do have anxiety , and take meds for that, so that could be why my high pressure its high ( do to my anxiety)... as for the exam's you recommended, ive done them all this year, in January and everything was O.k. with my heart....my cholesterol was a little high @ 205, i guess its supposed to be <190, so i got medication for that too....am i fit cardiovascular ??? i have to say no, but i'm doing more cardio now (past month)... i have to say that i was one of those stupid guys, that thought all i need to do is lift weights, and grow, and i would be fine, forgetting about my heart...my doctor did give me shit for that, saying that i might as well be fat if i dont work the heart. because either way with fat or muscle , you still put a lot of pressure on the heart, if you dont exercise it ( the heart).
I also just found out from my parents, that high blood pressure runs in the family ( both of them have it).
I dont touch any alcool ( dont like it)... i used to smoke cigars (not much but i did), i quit in January ( now i have high blood pressure) ever since i quit i gained 15 pounds ( maybe that could me part of the problem.)

    Again thanks for your reply.

When you say, it worked for you, did you take it during a cycle and it got lowered?

The reason I asked about previous cycles is if you had been doing a lot of juice for months on end then the extra red blood cells thickens the blood and pressure goes up despite having a heatlhy cardiovascular system. If you are experiencing blood pressure that high and have not been on AAS in years then your cardiovascular system is in bad shape. You should stop your cycle continue your blood pressure medication and work on your diet and cardio until you get your blood pressure down then consider using AAS again, in your current state of health I would not suggest staying on cycle and using medication as a patch to try to control your blood pressure. You really need to address your cardiovascular condition with a change in diet and exercise until your numbers return to normal.

    Just my 2 cents.

High blood pressure, and high cholesterol runs in my family too and it sucks!

Im only 25, and caught it early, practically all my family had heart attacks and strokes in there 50's, but none of them looked into there silent problems like i have.

I take Zocor for cholesterol and Benazepril, and Amlodipine for blood pressure.

My heart its self is very strong and efficient with a low pulse in the 40s. But the rest of my cardiovascular system just sucks.

Stay on top of your BP and get your cholesterol checked too.

I get blood drawn every 3 months.

I would think a mild PCT would be a good idea, but I will bump the thread for those with more experience on the amount of shutdown one could expect from 3 wks of C.

PS I don't think you are too old at all, just back off the AAS for now till you get your blood pressure down. I am 55 now and at 50 my blood sugar and circulation was so bad I could not drive 5 miles on the highway before my foot would be burning, I also had plantar faceitis so bad I could hardly walk. It was at that point I started walking at first going around the block was hard 4 years later I was doing a combination of walking, jogging and running 5 miles a night 7 days a week and doing some light weight training. After getting my cardio to that point I started AAS and semi serious wieght training and since October I have gone from a 13.5 bicep to a 15.5 not quite ready for MR O (jk) but a pretty good improvement for an old fart LOL.
