During cardio where should you keep your heart rate at?

Depends on your goals. I stay where I am comfortable when fat burning. If I have a fittness test coming up and I am working on my time I avoid clen cause I know I will be upping my intensity.

The number varies with age. There is a good article here: http://exercise.about.com/cs/cardiow.../aa022601a.htm
Another way of calculating your target cardio zone is to stay within 60-80% of your Max Heart Rate. This doesn't take the resting heart rate into account but it's the number I've always used
Max Heart Rate: MaxHR = 220-[Your Age]
Cardio Zone: .6*MaxHr to .8*MaxHr
So, for a 30 year old person:
MaxHr = 220-30 = 190
Low Intensity (60% of max): .6*190 = 114
High Intensity (80% of max): .8*190 = 152
So, the cardio zone for a 30 year old would be between 114 and 152
