help a novice out
hey guys, im 18 (before you say i know im young) weigh about 160 lbs and am 5"9'. Ive been training for almost a year now and ive put on a respectable amount of muscle for the time ive been training but me and my friend (whos 19) have decided its time to turn to the darkside. we have done a fair amount of research and would prefer to go on anavar but its to expensive so we have been looking at testosterone . We want to go on a fair light cycle of about 250mg per week for 10 weeks. Just wanted to know how much we can expect to put on.

Bro your to young to even be a member of this board but besides that, no one in their right mind will ever advise a 17 year old on the usage of aas. You run the risk of serious long term health issues.....
Spend the next 7/8 years training hard and dieting correctly, trust me, diet is key and without a solid diet you will never build new muscle tissue..

18*** i knew i should have read it over
I know you say i have naturally high test levels, but nothing compared to what aas can offer me, i have spent months researching about it, i have my pct all sorted out with shit on stand-by if sides occur, im not jumping into it blind.
But if you think that my levels are equivilant to that of setroids, you are mistaken.
you say spend years of training, but i would have past my prime then, when im 25-27 im going to be settled down in a job and career with a partnet etc. Im young now, and its now i want to be at the peak of my aethetics.
You call it impatient, i call it taken advatage of resources that are available to me.

True that bro, thankfully i am well informed and have a pct lined up in oder for me to restore all of my levels back to normal. Me taking them now will have the same impact as it would upon you fertility wise, you was prepared to take the risk, and so am i.

yes at 17 im shure your thinking clearly.....wtf ever happened to working for it man...i didnt try aas till i was 36 but in that time managed to have a life, get married have kids train hard for years, lean about how to eat to grow and reasurch how to use aas responsibly...those of us that use aas are commited to a lifestyle of health and fittness....building quality muscle is a marathon not a sprint bro...
-
This is what your failing to understand my friend, because of your age theres a very very good chance your hpta/endocrine system hasn't fully developed yet so shutting it down could cause damage that a good pct wont do anything for..... You need to allow time for your body to fully develope...

I undersatnd the ethics of wroking hard for something, i bust my ass off in the gym, and i will do when i cycle, just it wont take me as long to achieve my aims and goals, i know im not gonna be huge after one cycle, i know its not an easy way it, but i see it as a tool to help me get there that little bit quicker. Great on you, you started when you was 36, perhaps you didnt share the same passion for fitness as i do when you was at my age.

I have done a lot of research, and i mean a lot, and i have read no where of anyone having their hpta/endocrine system being completly mangled after one cycle. Its not a hardcore cycle, im not stacking a bunch of shit with each other, 250mg/week for 10 weeks with sound pct. Please link me to a study or article where someone at my age has been permantly damaged from using steroids responsibly, emphaysis on the word 'responsibly'

its not the physical sides i would be worried about, its the mental sides, dependency, etc that i worry about with a young kid
i can tell you for a fact, that when i did my first cycle at 21, it was an emotional rollercoaster compared to doing it at 28

Hey OP:
so are you willing to shut down your own natural test levels for a quick fix?
Even if you do a cycle and you do not eat correctly the gains will not stay. And that is the TRUTH. So it is a waste of time, money and risk of not having a SUPER DUPER SEX LIFE especially between 18-25. And taking test now will probably make you end up in the "Over 40 forum" or the "Hormone Replacement " forum begging for help.
If you had any idea how many guys I see come on here wondering why they cannot get it up anymore; because their girlfriends are asking them why.
Please go to the "Diet Questions" forum and learn to eat. Food is your best chemical.
And learn to workout correctly and SLEEP.
Sleep at 18 is very important. This is when you make your gains. And get your heaviest growth pulse during sleep. And increase your test levels during sleep too.
Please re-think your plan.
Hope to see you in the Diet forum. They will get you to where you want to go. I promise you.

Searched but could not find..
And im guessing the ones you have heard of abused the drug, which isnt something i intend on doing.
I appreciate everyones input, but i find it ignorant how all of you seem to think us younger people have incredible powers to pile on masses of muscle naturally.Last edited by Alyn; 03-29-2011 at 01:02 PM.

how do you know you wont abuse it, youve never taken it before
you dont know what its going to do to you mentally
for all we know, you can be unconfident or egotistical, and if your either, there is no doubt that you will soon rely on this drug
i told myself i would do 1 cycle, but ask around, who has just done one
i can understand that its hard to gain mass right now, as your metabolism could be really high
but have you 100% eaten like you should?
try this, it worked wonders for me in college
a bodybuilder(that trains with branch warren), told me to eat 10 chicken breasts a day
2 at each meal, every meal
i want pizza? gotta eat 2 chicken breasts first, then the pizza
i could only maintain that diet for about a month, but mother of god was i strong, i powerlifted and all my bests went up
proof that food can do what roids are doing
so the question is, how bad do you want it?
are you willing to cook and eat like a madman or are you willing to take a leap of faith, have fun for 10 weeks, and hope you can stay off

10 chicken breasts a day :|
dude, im in college, i cant afford that xD
plans with diet are a monster breakfast, protein shake between 1st and 2nd lesson, monster lunch, protein shake between 4th and 5th lesson, gym, home with a monster evening meal then a shake before bed
harder to achieve anything better than that while being stuck in college

College is the shittiest excuse I've ever heard. I'm a med student, I have 40, YES FOURTY hours of class a week, and I still train 6 days a week and eat every 3 hours. I'm pretty sure there is a costco where you live. Even if you can't financially afford everything then that means you'd have to eat cheaper sources of protien. Not going to eat properly? Steroids will do nothing for you. You drink way to many shakes a day. Supplements/Protein Powder is actually more expensive than whole foods in the long term.
Your diet is the problem. simple as that.
Go to google images, type "erectile dysfunction" or "testicular hypertrophy" - THAT IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU DO ROIDS AT 17.
Biologically, YOUR BODY IS NOT READY FOR ANY STEROID USE .
Get the picture now?

What are you on about you complete fool? im hitting my macros and getting in 4k cals a day.. I fail to see where you think my diet is the problem. I fit my training in, and eat when i cal, but in the 5min gaps between all my lectures i cant eat a big meal, youre all being very dull critisizing my diet when it fits my macros and is hitting 4k calories.. Please specify where it is lacking? Case of 500 more cals? No problem an extra peanut butter sandwhich.
Dont be dull.
EDIT: And 3 protein shakes a day too much? Hmm okay.. Ridiculous
None of you have sucessfully found any flaws with what im saying
Yes there are potential side effects, POTENTIAL, they are just as likely as they are with an older person.
Someone educated come along and put me in my place? Id appreciate that.Last edited by Alyn; 03-29-2011 at 01:58 PM.

Theres no need to put you in your place like all young people your Right and anyone with a different view is wrong so why ask the question in the first place

Ok....Google "Frontal Lobe", the part of our brains where decision making and judgement takes place.
This is the last part of our brain to develop at 20-22 years of age, and some studies even show the neural insulation not complete until mid twenties.
As you see your judgement is impaired simply by your age.
This is why teens as yourself has parents or other older/mature adults to help with decisions.
So listen to the experienced, wise, mature, fully developed adults spending their free afternoon on this thread trying to help you out, by making you avoid a huge mistake.

When im wrong, ill admit im wrong
Am i too young to cycle? Maybe so, im not claiming that its completly safe, im saying theres risks when you run them at any age, but you lot have taken them so why bash me for wanting to do the same?
Im awaiting for a reply as to how my diet sucks, fanks
Im not a dull person, i have intellect, i love reading studies and articles, link me to one saying how the risks of nailing my endorcine system are a major issue and i will read it. At a dose of 250 of enanthate /week i find it HIGHLY unlikely to mess me up permantly

Dont think i dont appreciate your input, because i do, i also love a good debate.
I just think youre against it because of the ethical issue of a young person using them. Iv searched eerywhere and i cant find anyone using them at my age and nailing themselves.. Stunted growth maybe, but nothing more.
If anyone could provide me with a link that would be great

Morning : 6am start (to fit in food) 100g of porridge = 364 cals
8am 4pieces of toast=420 with 6 eggs = 498 cals TOTAL = 1282
shake between lesson = 350 TOTAL =
Lunch = beef baguette = unsure, tastes good though. milky bar= 550 Apple= 95 TOTAL(excluding beef) = 2277
shake between lesson = 350 + pistachios 150g = 600 TOTAL = 3227
Tea/dinner/evening meal = 100grams pasta = 353 and Tuna = 170ish TOTAL = 3750
Shake = 350 TOTAL = 4100
So 4100 cals and thats without including beef baguette and other snacks i may have through the day or at home.. I havent listed the nutrion value as it would take ages and i understand its the amount of cals going in that leads to increased weight
why would i get banned?

If you want educated read back. Everyone has given great advice and you are shunning it because of pride. You're diet is lacking. Do you think so many ppl who are older than you, some of which have been seriously training as long as you've been alive would find fault on your diet if there were none? Yes 3 shakes Ed is too much. I'm only 26, so just recently was I in college. I had 18 hours a week (God bless you windex) and had plenty of time for good protein, hell I would carry around bags of turkey or grilled chicken breasts to eat between classes. And as 5x10 stated, I am one of those that did my first cycle at 19. And there is definitely a dependency, I found it hard to wait the 10-12 weeks before hopping on again. And also i now have a scrip flr test because my natural Levels arent up to par and im 26...not 45. And yes i used them completely responsibly, even had a pro bb that is a strength coach at the college in my town helping During and post cycle. I'm not nearly as knowledgable as probly any of these oter guys who have responded, but when it comes to usong young I can tell you there are reasons tk wait a few years. At 24-25 see where you are at. These are all opinions, and you are entitled to have your own, but just like anything there are better opinions..and listening to people who had been there might benefit you in the future.

Btw, as I said im 26, I've ran 3 cycles of test along with things like deca , tren , eq, etc. Also have done other runs of pro hormones and such. And I still very much consider myself a Novice whom jumps on here and other sites to ask the pros (the other guys in this thread that have responded to you) questions. Sometimes you have to humble yourself and realize you aren't the most informed because you've read some posts and blogs and aas profiles.
