My rotator cuff had been bothering me pretty bad for few months. It would wake me up some night because of the pain. Certain angles I lifted my arm just sent pain shooting through it. My elbow was also giving me a great deal of pain whenever I applied any pressure on it. I know I should have just taken some time off. I did take five days off and elbow immedietly hurt again when I benched after the lay off. Tricep work was killing me but I was back on a cycle and didnt want to take time off. I went to my doctor and she gave me Methylprednisolone. 21 tablets. You take like 6 fist day, then five, then four and so on until its finished. She also got me on naproxen and esomeprazole 500/mg/20mg. 2 of those daily 60 tabs and three refills. I shit you not, by the time I finished the first described tablets I was no longer feeling pain in either spot. 14 days later and I am hitting single rep max weight on the bench and doing dips with two 45 lb plates around my waist. I tweaked my elbow a little doing skull crushers, but will use another exercise going forward. The pain I was feeling was not only effecting my life out of the gym , but greatly hindering my ability to lift and grow. I appreciate all of the advice I have recieved on here and just thought I would mention this in the hopes that it may help someone else one day.
