wasted shot?

just wondering if I wasted an injection. When i pulled the needle out i must've hit a vessel or something and quite a bit of blood came out of the injection site. I was just wondering if the injection was wasted or it was absorbed into the muscle enough. i was injecting 3 cc's and pulled out after 1.5 cc's to inject into a different site. They were both in the glute area 1.5" needle deep

By this point im sure you didnt actually inject into a vein, or you would be in serious trouble.

So NO it should not have been wasted, you most likely hit a vessel/vein while penetrating.
Happened to me before, nothing to worry about.

That happened to me a couple of times as well.
Did it shoot out like it was under pressure?
What I think happened to me is the neddle passed strait through a vein so when the needle was pulled out the blood squirts out due to pressure in the veins.
