It is unfortunate. I tore the tendon that connects the tricep to the bone. My advice is don't go to any normal GP. Go to a sports medicine doctor and get an ultra sound done. Hopefully it's not that bad and he will get u back training asap. I got a cortazone shot into my elbow had three weeks off and was training again. Just obviously being careful with my tri's... I'm not to sure but is there any chance he could cruise on a low dose and keep training legs till his healed? Maybe someone with more experience can answer that...

Trust me training through the pain is only making it worse and making the recovery time longer. Go to a sports medicine doctor!

If your in melbourne I can put u onto a great sports medicine doctor

This is one I use (not as often as I should) and has helped a LOT with my torn rotator cuff. It's recomemded all the time in the Injury and Rehab section also.
