Jab or Slow Pin Injections
Who jabs the needle or let's it slowly pierce the skin? And why?

I go slow-I know they say it causes more tissue damage, but if i hit something that hurts, i pull back a lil and hit a slightly diff angle.

I usually go fairly slow. I'm injecting in my buttox myself though so that is a difficult angle to be comfortable jabbing at.

i just close my eyes and jab it in real fast, i go about 3/4 inch in with a jab then go the rest pretty slow. the part that hurts most is breaking the skin so if you go in real quick it wont hurt at all

The part that hurts the most is if you hit scar tissue or a vein.

slow, depending on your pinning site hitting a vein or even a nerve sucks. getting through the scar tissue is the hardest for me. but i have found that rotating the pin as i pierce helps; instead of a straight stick.

I go slow. I use very short needles tho (26g 1/2")... doesn't matter how slow you go, it's in quick with these. 5 different sites on each of the pecs, two on the biceps and a few sites on my lats - that's all. Easy and quick.

Slow, you can feel what you are hitting and find out eazyer if your in vessel, if you go to fast and your muscle is still contracted a bit it will do domages to your muscle, it is better to go slow and inject slow also

I go slow and if I feel a nerve I will move the needle slightly over to try to avoid hitting it.

I do it slow aswell, piercing the skin isn't fun but once that's over it's all hood from there onwards.
Reason I ask is I got a jab from the doc in my elbow and he jabbed it in quick. Asked him what the difference is and he said there's really no difference besides it hurts less cause it's quicker...
Thanks guys

Slow because I can not jab myself. But helping someone else I can jab easily.
I know for a FACT that this does cause tissue damage. It takes a while to get used to issues with knots in your behind while sitting on hard surfaces around a half of decade from your last inject.Last edited by the_rebirth; 05-05-2011 at 09:59 PM.

Slow for me
If ever I watch a video of someone jabbing the pin in fast it makes me feel kind of funny lol
Have u ever watch a video of a doctor/nurse being trained how to inject.... They all slam it in like a dart..... Makes my balls tingle just thinking about it ....
Search for z track injections on YouTube....

Before my tropical vacation down south, my Doctor gave me a 'Hep A' shot.
I sit down, look at my shoulder, & he just says: "okay right here?" *index finger points* (as if he even needed to ask me)
As I am saying" "Yeah, looks good", and transitioning into a sentence I hear "pop" and I quickly look over to see that he had already jabbed me hahahahaha. I was thinking "Man, that was amazing, I should come here for all future Pin cycles!"
That being said, when I'm flying solo for my inject (as most are) - always slow.
"the part that hurts the most is if you hit scar tissue or a vein."
That was so shocking, I have never shot my quad again. Always left & right delts for my Test based cycles.
....good chat.

I think the overall conclusion is do what hurts you less. Everyone is different. For me slow is the go.
Thanks for the great responses guys.

My delts are usually my fastest jab. Glutes are somewhat quick as well but its hard to go as fast with them.
Quads though i will not jab at all. Slow the whole time. In my first days of hitting quads I jabbed and found out quick that a jab to a nerve is a lot more painful than a slow push. I jabbed and the muscle pushed it right back out of my leg. Now i hit them slow and when i feel a nerve i reposition slightly
