When going to the doc to check your T levels, what do you say/ask to do?

Basically how do you say "hey, I think i'm a little low on the libido end". Or however you word it. I've always wanted to get my T levels checked because I questioned mine multiple times due to my age ext...never done a cycle just did T boosters here and there and the libido shoots up a little bit but nothing dramatic. As for strength not so much, as well as anything else side effect wise. Anyways, i'd like to get checked out to see where I stand before I decide to go w/gear.

Also, what is the checkup actually called? I've had physicals done to check health but it was never brought up about bloodwork.

I appreciate the response. Thank You

You want to have a complete male hormone panel

and at least the following below:

    Test
    free test
    total test
    E2, E3
    thyroid
    PSA level which is important

Just ask for the test, I'd toss a full blood panel in there as well.

alright I appreciate the response...I don't want a doc trying to prescribe to a random topical cream of some sort or viagra haha...I plan on doing a cycle sometime in the near future, but figured i'd see where I stood before I go that route

In Australia you can't just say "i want a blood test" and get one done without a proper medical reason because it won't be covered, and you pay for it out of your own pocket.

So what is something you can tell the doc that warrants a "full blood panel" test?

    You feel tired... lethargic...
With a standard blood test you should be able to get your liver function, kidneys, cholesterol levels etc checked.
For a hormonal test complain about erectile dysfunction, loss of libido etc.

    The thing is:
    Say you took steroids period.
If you say that youre tired he may only think that your sleeping less and working too much and probably prescribe a multivitamin to you.
Here in Brazil is the same shit, the only guarranted way to the doctor´s ask for a testo profile is to say that you messed it all...Got it my friend.

Just tell him you took some steroids, and not sure if you used the correct pct. I get checked two months after ever pct just to make sure and its all been good. But if not they will throw you some hcg or in some cases androgel to get things cooking again. Sometimes adrogel then hcg. My doc actually asked me how easy it was to get and how much a few particular ones were. I think he wanted some but chickened out in asking lol.

telling your dr you took steroids is not a good idea. If your insurance finds out you can get screwed

Are you kids on crack? Listen to gixxer, if you are going through insurance you def. shouldn't mention steroids.. Nice way to get your policy voided. Good Luck!
I told my doctor I had lower energy than before, although I eat god and exercise I have been losing weight and muscularity for no apparent reason, my libido was not the same as before and I've been researching on the net and some guys told me to get a "blood hormone test" or something like that (say that with a stupid face like u have no clue whatcha talking about ) does that make sense doc? That should do it. He should go on to tell you you need a hormonal panel and bla bla bla... Thats how I got mine to do it.

The clinic here in San Diego, San Diego Male Medical Clinic had a special for a test check. I went in, got my test and PSA levels checked. PSA levels were excellent but total test was a little low. If I remember correctly it was 585 total. I was put on Test C for 3 moths.

Do not tell a doctor you have taken steroids.. it's the same as saying you have taken heroin, and they will document it... and many jobs and insurance policies, and obama care will have access to that information..

    that's why you don't tell..

Go to life extension, and or all male clinics, they are more likely to help you out if it's low..

I spoke to my doc before I cycled. I asked her what she thought of steroids. She said,"bad for the heart..blah, blah, blah. I said," wouldn't there be some positive effects from using steroids?" She blushed and changed the subject. I said,"I'm just researching and not considering it so far. But If I chose to do it and ran into complications would you help me?" She said, " your insurance won't cover it." I said, " If your write up the report write they will." She said, " I can't do that." I also told her this conversation is off the record. I have that kind of relationship with her. End result, why the hell would a doc risk there license.
