I do my cardio after a workout for the fact that you burn more stored fat when you have depleated your glycogen stores from wt training. I sip on my protien or aminos as i do cardio just to be sure im not catabolic. Fasted cardio in the morning or cardio after wieghts seem to be the most desired times for maximum stored fat burning
I do cardio every day, in the morning at empty stomach for 45 min 7x/week, and after weight training for 30 min 4x/week. its the only way to keep lean and low bf%
Agreed with above cardio is a must as a part of any training program
thanks for the answers guy just wanted to make sure. Dont wanna burn any hard earned muscle!
Everybody's always looking for answers to questions that are irrelevant for their own body. Unless you're a professional bodybuilder, doing cardio before, after, or between strength training is almost a moot point. Find the time of day that is most efficient for you to get a good 45 minutes in and you be good. You'll be even better if you can go twice per day on the cardio 2-3 times per week. I spent years of wasted time stressing over this very same issue. It got so bad that unless I had perfect timing, I wouldn't even engage the workout. Consequently, I suffered. Remember this-if you want to lean out there are three key things that will get you there; 1-consistency 2-intensity 3-diet. Don't worry bout the time of day....do it when u have time in the day. My 2-cents...
Cardio after lifting is great, Cardio before lifting is no good IMO..
Cardio after lifting makes sense also from a standpoint of cardiovascular health; your hearth is your most important muscle as most people seem to forget and it needs to be trained via cardiovascular activity in order to maintain its health. Moreover, cardio after lifting also helps with recovery to a great extent; hence, making you grow even more (as long as you are not torching the muscle via extreme cardiovascular activity such as constant sprinting).
