package contents siezed

this sounds kind of funny to me but i recently orderd a friend some gear through a guy i use in mexico, funny thing is the package made it here but all the gear inside was missing and he said customs had put a letter inside saying they siezed the stuff,
why the hell customs still send the box??
i did'nt loose any money because it was for a friend, so i don't he's scamming me.

any clues or suggestions would be nice

also do you think ordering from mex is to risky because of the war?
is all foriegn mail going to be seized??

Ahh there was prob. some tape on the box too..right? If not then you got scammed. They even will some times give you wrapers if your really lucky.

i have personally ordered from him before with success( though only once) but few other guys on AR ordersed from him as well with no prob

No, I don't think you got scammed. Customs will often do exactly what you described. They will remove the contents and replace it with a customs seizure letter. Of course it is possible that the source could have done that himself. Who really knows. Contact the source and ask him about replacing the order. Really good sources will do that.

What port did it come out of? I have had it happen where they still sent me the pack but it was empty and had green customs tape on it. Came from the port in Chicago.....fuckers. Someone got huge off my gear.

hey same thing happened to me today and i lost a little bit of money but nothing that will stop my cycle. Mine was from England and i got the packages with customs paper on it and a note from customs inside. If i did get my order replaced dont you think it would just get seized again?

JDBU, they will flag your address so you need to get a new one to send to.
