bad injection or infection!!!???????

cant tell whether bad injection or infection, 2 days ago injected 1 ml of sust in deltoid my self, might have been at a slight angle, red swollen circle 2'' in diameter has appeared some swelling, what is it?!?!?

if it was an infection probably. it would keep getting worse and it should be hot to the touch.

did you use alcohol and prep your bottle and needle as well as the skin? It is prolly just irritated. I have had it plenty as I usually inject in my upper arse or hip area and during the turn I end up going in at an angle. just watch it

just had the same thing with a test e shot. Put it in the top of my thigh, and it formed a lump, swelled up, red and hot, and hurt. It's been about 4 days and it seems to be getting better. I don't know if it was bad gear of just a bad location. I use the top of my thigh for a b12 shot once a month, and usually use pharm test c from my md in the glut. Decided I needed more that the doc would prescribe, so I got some ugl test. gf was not home to help, so I just figured I would use my thigh. Now I don't know if I should try the ugl test again, but in the gluts. What you think?

Having much the same issue. Injected 1cc into delt three days ago. Painful, seems swollen (hard to tell), and thanks to me being an idiot wearing a muscle shirt caught outside the sunburn on my arm makes me wonder if it's hot and red from that or from an infection. I do NOT have a temperature though, 98.6F on the dot so that's a comfort. But what puzzles me is the fact it seems to get stronger then subside then stronger again, comes and goes. Can test have a weird reaction without being an infection? I followed the pinning instructions to a T, heating the oil, wiping bottle and pin site with alcohol swab. Fresh needle/syringe out of sterile package, slow injection speed... the works.
I guess the question is: How long should I wait for this to clear up before I should head for a doc? And what might be a good line of BS to tell them as to how I got an infection in my delt, perfectly centered like I got a shot there?

Two friends had this same thing happen, injected and later that day/ the next day had the same "rash" looking redness, and swelling. They also said it was pretty painful. It completely cleared in a week though. Was told to use a cold compress and take advil.

If your hands not still and u move that needle around a lil. That's enough to irritate. At least for me.

when it comes to rubbing stuff down with alco (i know this might sound dumb) but can you use any alco? like jim bean or american honey or jack daniels etc ahah i know this sounds pretty silly but yeah?

considering my nerves on my first ever cycle and self injection, I think I'm going with this explanation. Day four and it's like I have an irregular hard lump under there, pain is annoying but affected by ibuprofen. No fever or other signs of infection. I'd guess a wandering needle tip would cause the hard lump?

I'd say something like 93% isopropyl alcohol or an alcohol swab. That way you're sure to know it's sterile and potent enough to do the trick with no additives. But if you really must use an alcohol that can also be taken internally, pure distilled alcohol like ever clear or other corn alcohol would be best.

not all delts can hold 1ml oil. split it 0.5 in each till u get a hang of pinning.

wtf is wrong with people, go to the pharmacy, buy your pins, barrels and swabs... how can u not buy swabs

Heck if I know, Just answering the guy that was asking about using Jack Daniels! I guess a Rum and Coke before would calm hands so two birds with one stone? LOL
