Questions about steroids for Teenagers (We're two 17-year-olds)
Hey guys!
We're two 17-year-old norwegians playing with the tought of starting on some steroids . We have both been working out for about a year. We have been studying the side effects of steroids , and let's be clear; We're both young, and don't want our youth to be ****ed up because of this. We just want to be slightly bigger (Not small trucks).
We are:
5'6 - 134 lbs
5'8 - 170 lbs
Our questions are:
Are there any steroids we can take without stopping the natural growth in height?
What kind of drugs would you suggest? We would like to be both mentally and physically stable?
And we don't want to be small trucks, as mentioned. Just growing bigger!
Thanks alot for all the serious answers!

You should definately not take any drugs because they definately hinder your growth in the long run. You wont be a small truck no matter how much drugs you take unless BB is your life. Learn how to deadlift, squat and bench properly. Remeber to smash your glutes/hams/lowerback as hard as chest/arms/shoulder/lats if not harder as they will be what gives you real str and size

Don't do it boys you cant learn to run before you walk you still have a few years of growth ahead of you, all steroids will effect your growth and shut you down, at your age your making more than enough test to build good quality gains you just need a good diet

ur supposed to be 18 when ur on here bro how did you do all that reading and you don't know the most basic rules on the site? I've cycled at 17 it will **** you up. I plan on going until it kills me. If you just want to get a little bigger just find out how many calories you take in everyday and take in like 1k more than what it says you should. Get a good program, lift heavy, eat a lot of protein/carbs and take it seriously and be consistent. You can get to the point where people can tell you workout when you're wearing fitted clothes without taking anything which sounds like what you want but that's not good enough for me but we have different goals.

Secret: Go to bed early. I am being very serious when I say this. Why? Because during sleep you grow the most because that is when your growth hormone has the heaviest pulse in a 24 hour period. And it likes to produce growth hormone on nature's cycle: the Circadian rhythm. And the natural time to go to bed coinciding with this cycle is around 10 at night so then 2 hours later your growth pulse can pump a ton of gh thru your system before it is too late when the cycle reverses and goes into "wake-up" mode.
Your hormones repair and rejuvenate during sleep too.

yes , i know when im at work people would tell me,where do you lift at,and i would say why,and they would say because i can tell you lift wieghts, its a really good feeling when you have made it to that point, but if you take things before your not even grown all the way,it will mess you up for the rest of your life, and you will have complications when you get older.

The Young and Steroids
by MARCUS300
Due to the recent number of PM's ive been receiving regarding age and steroids I thought i'd write this thread to try and help some of our younger members. Ive also been having a conversation with my Endocrinologist who may give a more profession opinion on the subject:
There isn't an exact age were we all stop developing and growing because this is determined by our genes and DNA, we are all genetically programmed individually and we inherit our genes from our parents. To give an exact age we stop growing would be incorrect because everyone's genetic blueprint is different. The main development of our bodies is up to the age of 21yrs of age but this can vary between individuals. There are parts of our bodies what carry on developing and adjusting slowly up until the age of 25yrs old, an example of this is the brain. The Endocrine system is a part of the brain what is very complex and keeps our bodies in a homeostasis state. Our testosterone levels start raising and roughly peak around 25yrs old and then start to slowly decline, so even though some of us may have stopped growing at the age of 21yrs old, others may still be developing up until the age of 25yrs old.
I have recently spoken to my Endo regarding this matter and he tells me that the HPTA is very sensitive and as many pathways how it regulates the human body, he states steroids disrupt the normal balance of hormones in the body which can cause reversible and irreversible changes at any age but risks are far more if you administrate exogenous androgens during development, this will put you in a very unnatural environment at a crucial time and your hormones should be treated with care especially in the early stages of maturity. The adverse effects can be erratic behaviour of the HPTA and potentially therapy when your older.
I did ask him what age he would think would be the safest as far as risk to damages and he said many endocrinologist suggest full maturation is reached by 25 years of age and this would also give the HPTA time to be established with your natural hormone balance and patterns. I personally feel 24-25yrs old would also be ideal starting point to get bloodwrok drawn to see exact what your natural levels are before starting any kind of cycles and waiting till you have reach your testosterone peak would be a good starting point, for me there is to much evidence over the forums and what I've seen personally over the last 25yrs I've been bodybuilding . Obviously it isn't going to be all 19- 21yr old bodybuilders who suffer side effects what are irreversible but I am edging on the side of caution what age I advice to the newbies.
