test e seems to be popular than test c but why? they are pretty much the same are they not?

They are virtually identical and I like them both equally.

as said go for whats cheaper at the time, no diff.

Both the same except cyp as a heavier ester so pct slightly needs adjusting but as far as results go both the same so go with what ever is the cheaper and easier to get hold of.
