Thread: Steroids and post natural progression.

    Steroids and post natural progression.

So I've heard people say, running even a few cycles of testosterone, makes it easier for you to build muscle naturally..

For example, a 25 year old male who has ran 1-2 cyles of testosterone plus proper pct, will be able to build muscle while not on cycle (naturally) easier then a 25 year old male who has never ran any previous cycles.

I said it's complete bro science.

So question. If any of you have any personal experience and or studies, showing that steroid cycles do make natural progression better, i'd find it very interesting.

    Thanks

If you look up how steroids work and how they react in your body you will find this answer pretty clearly

So once a cycler your better off continuing to run cycles because natural training will be less progressive then if you hadn't ran any cycles?

depends on your gains on cycle and percent recovery between cycles.

You have a natural limit of body mass your body can handle, so if you go past that with the help of steroids then its all about how you maintain the mass, but eventually it will go back down.

And most people dont recover to their natty peaks after a cycle, so in theory their natural gains would be hindered after a cycle. but that is largely dependent on how well you recovered and PCT and other factors involved, cant pinpoint steroids as one cause. But not recoverying to 100% of levels, and having low test symptoms are 2 different things, its really just a minor difference which you shouldnt notice any difference just the numbers arent quite as high. Also test decreases with age, so essentially on steroids you are predisposing yourself to 'age' earlier in regards to test production/levels.

Also, you have to incorporate the mental aspect in it also. IF you, basically go through puberty again and know that feeling and how you gain, then mentally you will be behind because you will have felt that surge of energy and strength which pushed you forward fast.

So, with those factors in play; yes usually people who cycle do mulitple cycles because of the gains you get and the mental lack when not on cycle. But with that aspect removed, and total recovery was made, then there would be no difference between gains for a person who cycled vs a purely natty person.

    Great reply.

I was only asking because I had seen someone else say this, and they swore by it.

Then it got me thinking, I've ran 1 test p cycle, recovered fine, was never really shutdown. That was about 1 year ago, since then I've been natural. And I'd say I've had splendid progress naturally since my cycle, so I almost started to somewhat believe this.

Well i would say that muscle memory plays a small part. Say your natural limit is 17 inch arms, and with the help of aas you reach 18 inch arms but then never do another cycle, you would fall to say 17 inches again eventually. Although lets say you did multiple cycles and reached 20 inch arms, and then over time fell back to 17 inches. I believe that with serious training and a bulking diet you could rise past the previous genetic limit and maybe hit 18 again naturally.

Also strength plays a factor too. After a few cycles your strength will permanently be higher (as long as you keep training hard) and this may help push past what was naturally possible before.

I have my own questions and theories about genetic potential but i won't hijack this thread. Il save for another day.
