    Potency

I used quite a bit of AAS all through the decade of the 80's. Much of this stuff was gear from legitimate pharmas like Searle, Winthrup, ect. The dosages I took back then were minimal as compared to what I take now and I generally had much better reactions to the meds. After taking 17 years off AAS(but still training) I got back into the supplement game in an effort to compete on the national level in Master's competitions. The last 4 years I've used gear from many different "labs". None of this gear seams to have measured up with the the stuff I used in the past considering the advertised potency of the stuff now vs then. There was one exception. I had a product called quadralone that was extremely potent. The rest of the stuff now seems pretty limp wristed in comparison. Quadralone disappeared and up to 3000 mg's per week of other modern gear doesn't seem to be enough where 1/2 of that made me a state champion in 1987. What's the general consensus on this topic?

I'm sure the people here can help you much better if you give them much more stat information.

    age

There are good ugls out there, but Pharma grade will always be superior to UGL.

I won't give the name of the latest gear I'm running but everything I'm using is from the same place. I know that it's not completely bogus but I don't get the results nor the sides that I used to 20 years ago. I used to have a big problem with gyno on a basic 400 mg/week test, 400 mg/week deca and 40 mg/day d bol cycle. now, according to the labels, I'm taking literally 2.5 times that much with little gyno. Again, I've tried several brands with similar results and have been told by someone I trust that the brand I'm taking is as good as any. I know that it's doing something but not nearly what it once did. Quadralone was some bad-ass stuff. 3 esthers of nandralone and test prop in one injection(350 mg's/ml) but it's not available around here any more.

I thought the vets could build a better understanding of this guys situation if they knew more about him. Perhaps there was a physiological indicator that would shed some light on this.

I personally couldn't help, but i'm definately curious and had subscribed to the thread to learn. Therefore, "give more info" not just on previous usage and the results but also on current physical stats.

At 5'9" and 215lb he probably won't see the big jump in gains that he may have 17 years ago.

Yeah I get the idea, I just dont see the need to repost it every time you have a question. Especially if it isnt relevant to the question. eg..his question was not answered now because he gave his stats...ya know what i mean?
If he was asking a question regarding "how much should i take, or for how long, or what compounds should I take etc..." then I would understand it..jes sayin..

Hey Bobr what do some of your cycles look like at 3000 mg a week? Did you always or do you ever run what is considered a "proper PCT" like what is preached on this forum. I know when i was in my 20's I never heard of PCT no one ever talked about it..I spent a good amount of time in gyms and around juicers and never heard anyone speak of it..

    Presently. Per week.
    Test cyp. 875
    Deca 600
Eq 600 I Know, I know but don't buy into the deca/Eq taboo crap. It's a good stack-especially for severe joint pain like 55 year old guys get.
    Masteron 300
    Tren E/A 600
    Tamoxifen 20 mg's EOD

Here's some more info. I competed naturally(I was clean) for 12 years after satisfying the time requirements to be considered clean. I used creatine only for competition. I entered 4 competitions in first the masters(40+) then grand masters(50+). In the masters at 40 I weighed 178 on stage and won the class. For the grand master(age 50) I was 175 on stage and won all three. I crossed over in one event to the mens open and won the overall. When I was 54 using gear I entered a pretty large local competition(2010) in the grand master class which I won. I was 186 on stage which was only 11 pounds heavier than when I was natural. I took a lot of gear if the labels were accurate but really only trusted the equipoise . I stayed on the Eq right until contest day which was something I'd never do if I trusted my gear. I won the one large show but only finished 5th in another shortly after. My condition in both was terrible in looking at the pictures now. I know I'm getting old but staying on test and EQ killed my hardness even though I was using Letro. My point with this is the mere 11 pounds difference between natural and shooting something every day. Doesn't seem right to me. Also, to the list of gear I'm now taking, add HGH 10 IU every 3 days.

Would like Bonaparte to come in on this, after reading more about his threads seems to have experience in brewing his own gear. My buddy brews all of his own stuff, been doing it for years. He obviously cares what he puts in his body but, at the same time, large majority of what guys are buying claiming to have 200mgs/ML of product in fact is cut half, 100mgs/ML. Some cases even less. So that very well may be your issue.

Wow..that is quite the buffet..How much weight do you credit AAs to giving you over the last 30 yrs..pounds that you would not have gained without it?

Not that my brewing experience really helps here at all, but I would assume that the OP is just buying underdosed gear from shitty labs. This is, unfortunately, the norm rather than the exception.

To be honest with you. ZERO. I trained naturally for my first 5 years lifting. I weighed about 190 when I started my first cycle. I trained hard and cycled for about 8 years. I won some pretty big shows out of the light heavy and heavy weight divisions. When I decided to go the natural route I settled back(after a year or so clean) to about 190 off season. The net gain was zero. I never quit training and I cycled off correctly.

I am beginning to think the same thing. I know that something is wrong here. It's tough finding good stuff. I am a business professional with a family. My wife is a doctor. I have to be very careful who I contact for stuff and how it's delivered. I'm way too old to be incarcerated and I will not jeopardize my wife's situation. The quadralone that I had kind of backs this contention. That stuff was real good at even with the low dose(700/week-no orals) I was taking. Now, I hope for gyno with my stuff-so as to know that it isn't just sesame oil.

I feel your pain man, been there and seen it happen. For sure think family first in your shoes, but if you won Mr. Michigan in 87 surely you still have some main players you can contact and get the pharm grades right?

I was away from it so long that I lost all of my contacts. Also, I now live in California so it's even more difficult to reach back. I sent an E mail to my "guy" this morning asking what are the chances that he can do his own lab work. He mentioned this in the past so it may be something that happens. He competes, too, so I know that he wants the best for himself.

hey bobr, just as a word of caution, it may be a good idea to edit out the titles you won, in my opinion
A simple google search can find out your name/info by those.. I just found your name/pics in under 30 secs.
not that anyone on this site has ill intentions.. but may be a good measure to protect your identity/family..
    just my .02

Thanks. You are probably correct. People with agendas are everywhere. The upside is, you now know that I'm not b.s.ing anyone.

People outside of Michigan may not know what a hardcore body building state it is. There are MANY quality athletes. I caught it on a soft year.
