Question Newbie wanting to take Clen

Im new to this whole thing. I started working out with a personal trainer about a month ago. Im drinking evolution protein shakes after every workout and eating fairly healthy. I recently heard about Clen and wanted to give it a try. I'm pretty overweight (5'7" 215lb. about 25% bf) so I wanted something to kick start the weight loss. I was wondering what is the best way to do a Clen cycle. I read something about alternating every couple of weeks with ephedrine but I wanted to get more opinions first. Also I think I'm going to try the paleo diet. My goal is not to bulk up (not yet anyway) but to just be slim and cut.

I love clen mate, for me it does wonders however you just don't need it yet...

Keep it as the final weapon in your arsenal to kill off that last bit of stubborn fat. Because you've only just got into training and dieting you should see massive amounts of fat just drop of you mate, clean diet and shit loads of cardio is all you need right now, trust me....

Ok so NO clen yet. I've done atkins diet 3 times in the past and the last time I did it it just would not work for me. I stuck to the diet very strictly and only lost about 5 lbs. I'm worried the paleo diet won't work either since they are similar. I'm currently doing about 25 minutes of cardio and 35 to 45 minutes of weight training 3 to 4 times a week. Should I change this up a bit?

Yes i would do cardio 5/6 times a week and do it for 45 minutes, don't kill yourself doing it and keep it to medium intensity...

I lost about 30lbs a few years ago doing HIT cardio. I prefer the stepmill or elliptical machine but you can do it for any cardio machine or jogging. Start off slow, warm up and then do 30sec at about 85% intensity and then drop to 30-40% for a minute and back to 85% for 30sec. Try and build up to 10 repetitions of doing 30 sec and 1 minute.

As you get in better shape and it becomes easier, up the higher intensity time. Eventually you want to make it to 1 min high intensity, 1 minute low intensity.

As said above i would try and do this 5-6 times a week.

Most important tho is diet. You can do all the cardio you want and if your diet is not dialed in you are not going to see results you would expect. Following atkins or doing paleo is fine but have you considered doing a food log? There are plenty of free options on the web to enter what you eat for the day and see the actual breakdown of Protein/Carbs/Fats.

You also need to figure out what your maintenance caloric level is so you know if you are eating too much or too little.

I know this may all sound like a pain but nobody said it was easy. I'll tell you it was a hell of a lot easier putting on those 30lbs than it was taking them off!

Yeah man, alot of people think of cardio as heavy, hard intensity training, and they burn themselves out after 10 mins, so you dont get much out of it. I used to wonder why I never lost weight whenever I would run a 10 minutes mile and a half every other day, but I realized that such a short amount of cardio isnt going do much. Since then I have switched to 60 mins cardio 4 days a week at pretty low intensity. Yeah, it gets boring and it takes forever compared to a short HIIT session, but it seems much more effective at burning that stubborn fat.

However, as they all have said, diet is your best friend in this. Im glad to hear you have gotten yourself started. Just gotta stay dedicated and motivated, and you will lose that extra weight in no time.

Thanks y'all for all of the tips. I'm going to hold off on the Clen for now and up my cardio time. Definitely need to eat better but not sure what nutritional path I'm going to take yet. Either low cal or the paleo.

Yeah, I lost alot of weight easily doing alot of cardio a few years back. Really the best thing for weight loss. I found that if you spilt up a large meal into several smaller meals, then you are not so hungry by cutting back. Also there are some natural appetite suppressants like green tea and cayenne pepper that should help with the hunger feeling. I definately agree that you should probably push yourself as far naturally before you start with clen , wait till you plateau and then reconsider it. Best of luck.

20 min of cardio twice a day is all you need... watch your diet... ketogenic diets are crap... keep you carbs under control but don't eliminate them from your daily diet. Dont try to rush it if you are looking to lose 20% BF or more... you need at least 18 to 20 weeks of good dieting in order to keep you muscles untouched. Drink tons of water! Good luck
