I would at the very least get a Watman filter and transfer it to a sterile vial and see if that helps. Probably heat it up also to try and kill possible contaminates. FYI-This is info i have read here on this forum, not personal exp.

it sounds like your gear has fallen out of suspension/seperated.. I have heard heat will help this.. The mixture might be a little off..
again, like sicko said, this is what I have read from reputable people on here.. have never personally had it happen
Try doin a search, I've seen this discussed many times on here

I dont know that the filter would be a good idea at this point as it could filter part of your gear out I would think.. I could be wrong
    bump.. for the vets

If you heat it, be sure to put a pin in it to relieve the pressure as it heats...

If it has fallen out then heating it back up will bring it back together. I dont think it ever hurts to filter your gear. The only thing filtering accomplishes is removing impurities. You dont lose gear, except for some residual in filter.(small price to pay if your gear is contaminated)
But like Im83931 said post in lab section they will give you definitive answer.

    coagulated

A year ago or longer I bought about 30...10cc vials of test. I had ten vials in a seperate box that sat on a shelf in the closet. I took them out a couple of weeks ago and noticed a thick coagulated slightly different colored spot in several of the vials. I picked one up and shook it and the "junk" mixed back into an unnoticable state. I figured because the gear sat for so long motionless that it seperated or something. I decided to rotate the odd ones to the front and use them first. No illness or infection occured. Mine is just a similar incident I thought I would mention.

I guess I could have worded it better.. I didn't mean not to filter.. I meant not just yet.... maybe heat it first.. then filter when the gear is more uniform..
