    Anavar Cycle

    Mid 30s, 245#, 6'2"
    ~20% bf
Trying to get harder and leaner.
    Squat - 400lbs.
    Bench - 315lbs
    Deadlift - 475lbs
    Military Press - 200lbs

Okay, I've asked about a potential cycle before.
Since then I've read some more so here goes:

    *Anavar (good quality) wk1-10
pyramid from 40ed to 80ed to 40ed over course of 10 weeks
    Tamoxifen 40/20/20 throughout

I'll have clomid and HCG on hand just in case.

    Diet is mainly caveman style:
1-1.5g per lean bodyweight + tons of veggies to wash down the meat
Running carbs between 30-60g a day

Not worried about putting on mass so avoiding Tests.

    Humbly appreciate your input,

    Cacu

Whats your AAS history? Planning on doing cardio? I would personally add test to this cycle as anavar will shut down your test...hence why it would be smarter choice to throw it into the mix. Low dose of test will suffice.

What are you taking for your liver?

Need to get your Bf% down first bro. Anavar won't do a thing for you otherwise. Hit the diet section! Plus more research before you cycle

My AAS history is nill. Never been on.

I'm on finestaride for hair and I've heard there is some interplay with testosterone but there isn't any definitive info. on its effect.

So I guess bf% is too high to start. Will do b4 start. This is the problem I keep butting up against: I am a strength athlete and performance is seriously hampered with any bf% cuts. My coach told me I have to make a decision about health/longevity(lower bf%) vs. maximal performance.
    I guess he is right.

Liver: I was planning on Milk Thistle. I want to stay away from test because I am not ready to commit to taking test. The reason being I've done extensive research in both scientific papers (which by the way can only extrapolate from physiological observation rather than actual research studies, i.e. AAS users) and anecdotal accounts from some of the respected 20+ year bodybuilders in this forum. The latter is much more weighty to me and they have been clear that once down that road endogenous testosterone is compromised.

My understanding is that endogenous test is incrementally dropped after each cycle however good the PCT may be. I'm not ready for that, at least not yet.

When you say performance is seriously hampered when you bf drops, but how are you dropping the bf% ?

Honestly, I think you should try a new diet for a while, see what results you get from it. When cutting bf, try lower your daily calorie intake by 15% - 20% for a month or two, monitor your results and you should see some slight change after 6 weeks. Only you know how your body responds to diets, but you can lower bf without losing performance, and the diet is always the key. Don't over train too, thats a common mistake made by plenty.

Milk thistle is the way to go.

@goof I appreciate your help. But on the issue of performance, there is just no way to increase weight numbers while going thermogenic or dieting down.

Well there is a way and that is if the person is still in the novice phase. In this phase the individual is still adjusting to recruiting muscle via nervous system, so technically they are not getting stronger-although they set PRs every time they walk in the gym-they are just learning how to recruit the strength potential they possess.

Now there are some individuals like K***** F***** who can eat a truckload of calories and still have great definition but that is his setpoint, he doesn't have to work at it, and I can assure you he eats much to many calories to ever be considered applicable for someone that wants to improve body composition.

Anyway, I will figure it out. I simply must choose one goal for now.

Valid points raised, and as for Kendrick...well his a unique individual!

Var will help with what you want to archive in the end, figure out your short term goal as you said and work off that. A good cycle of var will most likely keep you coming back for more, later on lol.

Do you think I can cut body fat while on an var cycle or is it necessary to cut first?

Given your diet and workout routine is in tack, you should drop body fat. Keep away from refined sugars and simple carbs while on it tho.

You generally get better clean results when your body fat is low, so its not 'necessary' to cut first, but it does help.

To be honest, few people who I know personally who get on var, run it few times a year to trim down and get a dry look (which only going to happen when bf is low, hence why) than later on after bulking up they will do another cycle of it.

Short answer to what you want to archive, is Yes you will drop bf. To further enhance the results of var, lower bf = better results.

HGH, if you can afford it and have access to pharm grade stuff, works great at lowering body fat while keeping size and strength, but it doesn't work fast like AAS. Be prepared to take it consistently for 3 to 12 months for best results.
