Banner is driving me nuts!!!!

The Discount-Suppliments Ad that pops up everytime I come to this website is driving me nuts! Does it really have to go in my face like that? Ads like these make me want to punch my computer screen!

I know the forum needs sponsors, but DAMN! Give them a little area up top and not in my face. I NEVER buy from companies that have annoying ads EVER!

One mouse click on a red bubble isn't that big of a deal. If you want, you can edit your browser so the site doesn't pop up. you'd just have to find the site on your net traffic then ban the url.

Agreed. Some sites charge for membership. The popup is much better.

No way, I cry everytime I blink. Sooo much work to blink. In fact, I've been considering the thought of stopping my heartbeat. It's just too damn cumbersome!

I make a game out of it and try to get the arrow right where it needs to be before the banner comes flying out. Then I just click the x without moving it again unless I'm a little off.

Yeh same on the comp is ok but iPhone use sucks! I keep hitting the other banner and it opens up other stuff...

The OP has stumbled on something. Maybe for a couple dollar fee, they could offer premium membership without the ads. I mean it doesn't bother me too much, but if somebody like the OP is willing to shell a few bucks for it, it could be worth it.

the ad doesn't bother me.. however I don't think it's very effective either.. I would think many people, like myself, just close it without reading what its even about. Pop-ups are ineffective since 99% of them are trash.. the only ones I look twice at typically contain naked women

Personally I would never order anything from a pop-up since most are scams or trash...
That being said, I came across DiscountSupps at the bottom of the page, the banner, and after a couple people on this site vouched that it was good I placed my first order... Prices are the best I've found and delivery was like 2 days.. ditched my other online supp company of 8+ yrs...
This is a great site and I don't mind closing the pop-up.. but also think if anything it makes DS look less appealing.. just my .02

I like to think that if it didn't work, they wouldn't waste the money to put the popup ad there. But we know that isn't necessarily true in practice. If it gets them any extra business then more power to them. Clicking a red bubble at the top of the popout doesn't bother me one bit.
