    Half-Life Question

    Question:

For example sake say I take 100mgs of a substance.
The half life is 1 hour.
After an hour I take another 100mgs of the substance.
So I now have a total of 150mgs of active substance.
Does this mean in one hour I will have 75mg of active substance?

Or does the new added amount have its own active half life?

To make it simple Im asking if adding more mgs just gets tacked onto the total in your system.. .and ur system cuts the active number in half every hour based on my example.

    Thank you.

I'll take a crack at this. Ok if half life is one hour, two hours after taking the first 100mg it will be gone. So that leaves 50mg left from the second 100mg, taken on the second hour, left on the 3 hour

    100mg then 1 hour its 50, then 2 hours its 25 etc
biologically speaking it may not be a simple formula though
