need some friendly advice buds =)

Well, i am 19 years old an have been lifting and training for 4 years i love this sport and i love working out, and i want to compete in fitness in the future then i mean as soon as possible. Im not asking you, should i take steroids ? what will i do? and those kind of questions. I have been researching a lot about steroids and i know it can stunt my growth and e.t.c. But i went to my doctor last week and asked him if there is anything that he could do to help me grow bigger? because i have been eating like an horse and sleeping 8-9 hours every day and nothing for a year now :/ and i am currently 19 and 164.... so he did put me in a x-ray to check if i have stopped grow taller and my growth plates are closed but i am going to my doctor again so see if there is any chance of doing something. The thing is that there is not one single day that i go through that i wont think about starting a cycle, and i will do it for sure but i care about my health of course but, if i want compete in fitness like i really want to, then i need roids because 98% of the people there are taking them and i know most of them.. and if my doctor says that there is nothing left to do with my height then i will want to get wider.. so any guys here who started young on steroids or are taking them at young age... or just need some advice =)

P.S dont say just eat right and train hard, because i am doing it, i have my own personal trainer who is helping with nutrition and training.. but you can surely advice me on the nutrition or training =)

if someday i would try steroids, i would guess that i would start my taking 4 weeks of dianabol and 8 week of testa and then coming off them on hcg or clomid, and of course have nolvadex on my hand in case of gyno =)

thanks. i am not rushing into ANYTHING, just getting info

The advice here is very friendly but it's not what you want to hear. If you want to know the truth then read the below, if you want to argue and try to convince us you are different that all the other teens who say they are different from all all the others etc. then save your breath.

Here is what you need to know via Marcus.

    The Young and Steroids

Due to the recent number of PM's ive been receiving regarding age and steroids I thought i'd write this thread to try and help some of our younger members. Ive also been having a conversation with my Endocrinologist who may give a more profession opinion on the subject:

There isn't an exact age were we all stop developing and growing because this is determined by our genes and DNA, we are all genetically programmed individually and we inherit our genes from our parents. To give an exact age we stop growing would be incorrect because everyone's genetic blueprint is different. The main development of our bodies is up to the age of 21yrs of age but this can vary between individuals. There are parts of our bodies what carry on developing and adjusting slowly up until the age of 25yrs old, an example of this is the brain. The Endocrine system is a part of the brain what is very complex and keeps our bodies in a homeostasis state. Our testosterone levels start raising and roughly peak around 25yrs old and then start to slowly decline, so even though some of us may have stopped growing at the age of 21yrs old, others may still be developing up until the age of 25yrs old.

I have recently spoken to my Endo regarding this matter and he tells me that the HPTA is very sensitive and as many pathways how it regulates the human body, he states steroids disrupt the normal balance of hormones in the body which can cause reversible and irreversible changes at any age but risks are far more if you administrate exogenous androgens during development, this will put you in a very unnatural environment at a crucial time and your hormones should be treated with care especially in the early stages of maturity. The adverse effects can be erratic behaviour of the HPTA and potentially therapy when your older.

I did ask him what age he would think would be the safest as far as risk to damages and he said many endocrinologist suggest full maturation is reached by 25 years of age and this would also give the HPTA time to be established with your natural hormone balance and patterns. I personally feel 24-25yrs old would also be ideal starting point to get blood work drawn to see exact what your natural levels are before starting any kind of cycles and waiting till you have reach your testosterone peak would be a good starting point, for me there is to much evidence over the forums and what I've seen personally over the last 25yrs I've been bodybuilding . Obviously it isn't going to be all 19- 21yr old bodybuilders who suffer side effects what are irreversible but I am edging on the side of caution what age I advice to the newbies.

well how does having to pin 1x a week for the next 60 plus years sound because you could not wait a few more years before using aas and you permanently screwed up your HPTA and now you need to be on TRT for the rest of your life? Hmmm waiting another 5 or 6 years vs having to stick yourself for 60+ years? You do the math.

Ive been there same as you. I know it seems like a LONG time but trust me, it goes by FAST and at your age you can do a LOT more with just diet. If you spend 1/2 the money of food (not supplements) and train properly you will have better results than 90% of the guys your age who are juicing and 0% of the side effects. You dont want to blow up and then shrink due to cycle or as stated, have a limp dick for a few months, year or rest of your life due to screwing things up do you? It happens all the time. We get lots of kids asking for help because they are messed up after cycle and I can guarantee you that only about 1% admit they have a problem.

And NO, if you fuse your growth plates but using aas before you are done growing (age 24-25) you wont be getting wider or taller or at least your frame wont robbing you of a lot of natural size.

Easy but not from me. We have a whole section dedicated to diet. Trust me and you will learn from most everyone here even if/when you do use aas diet is 90% of the game. Without the proper diet you wont grow. You man gain water weight and some mass but you will loose it just as quick as you gain it when you stop the cycle and look like an idiot. With proper diet learning whot to eat before working out and after to make sure you arent using your muscle mass for fuel is key. Visit the diet section and start learning. Diet does not mean to loose weight. #1 rule you will learn is to start eating 6 meals a day. This is for loosing or gaining weight, either way it's what your body needs.

Good luck and keep natural, you will be 100% happier you did and no regrets. Learning what to eat properly everyone will be accusing you of using steroids because how much you will grow in a short time but you will know better.
