Stinging pain after injection

Wonder if anyone else has gotten this; shot into left glute, when I aspirated it was very easy to pull the air in, almost strangely easy. Then after I shot it in, it stung like a bastard and for a while after. Did I miss the muscle and hit other tissue partially?

That would be my guess, but its only a guess.

Yeah with 1.5" of needle length, it makes sense that if your angle is off, it's gonna maybe put you somewhere outside of the glute if you screw up. Should still absorb eventually. I've never had an abcess, but I've had shots that took forever to absorb. Yeah, I like this forum, I'd been working a lot so I hadn't had time to work out or go on the forum.

Yea I've had some shots hurt so much, the pain won't go away for 2 weeks. Feels like puss sometimes and possible infection but it was just the oil base steroid or a inflammation in the shooting area

On occassion, i've experienced what you describe. when i insert the needle, if it doesn't feel right, i just try again. there was a time, early on, the injection really burned for some reason. i suspect that i somehow pulled some of the alcohol from the surface inside the tissue.
