Newb here and kinda confused on what I'm wanting.

Hi all, been looking around for the last couple of months and some things arent really clicking right for me.

My goal is to lose fat but maintain muscle. I am preparing my diet to be strict as in about 40% pro, 35%carb, 25% fats. I am also aware on cuts, you also burn up muscle mass.

My question is, which is the best for maintaining the muscle i worked so hard for. Ive been training for 2.5 years consistently, I'm 20, male, 6', and 220 lbs (dont know bf%)

any help is good help, even directing me to other sources.

    THANKS

You just mentioned three very different things, a Beta-2 stimulator, a thyroid hormone and an anabolic steroid . I'm not exactly sure what your question is.

    arnold, thanks for the response.
really i was told by a friend (yes i no greatly reliable source) that to keep muscle gains, try clen /t3. but i get on here and read alil about winny and begin pondering it as well. so the question is, should i continue with my original plan, or should i use the winny and stack that with another substance?

I wouldn't supplement with T3 without anabolic steroids as there's a very good chance you'll lose more muscle tissue than you had to.

Yes, Winstrol will help you preserve a fair amount of lean tissue. If you're dieting you're going to lose some lean tissue, especially if you're dieting hard and for an extended period of time but Winny will help you lose less than you would have otherwise.

Of course I'm not much of a fan of any steroid use without test simply because test is so vital to the body and even Winstrol will suppress natural production to a degree. That said, my first cycle ever was a Winny and EQ only cycle. Wasn't the best cycle ever and although it was my official first I actually consider my 2nd cycle my first cycle as it was more proper and far more valuable.

I wouldnt do any of those proposed ideas. At 20 your homorones are already at a peak, along with your metabolism. By cleaning up your diet would be sufficient enough.

Agree. No need for aas, your hormones are already optimal.

My stats are similar to yours, I'm 6' 220lbs and around 14 or 15% bf

knowing your bf% is key if you are soliciting for advice. you can order BF calipers off the internet for $25. I'd recommend picking up right away.

ignoring genetics for the moment, the solution is what the others are saying, cardio and diet. You don't start burning fat while doing cardio until after around 20 minutes, regardless of intensity. So for your purposes, anything under 20 minutes is a waste of time. Better to go an hour every other day than 30 minutes every day. you post your macros, the best thing is to go to the diet section and post your diet for us to look at, if you have not already done so. it is easy to say you are eating a clean diet, when in fact, it is not. Did you know it is not only important to eat right, but also important to eat right, at the right time? And important is frequency of eating. 3000 calories spread out over two meals is entirely different than 3000 calories spread out over 5 meals.

Forget the "easy way out" and thinking of shortcuts by taking chemicals. This way of life is not easy, and requires hard work.

Other than that, welcome to the board!

I have always found that a ketogenic diet worked wonders for me in the way of preserving LBM while losing fat. If u arent familar its a high fat (good fats) , moderate protein and almost no carb diet. I do mine with a 24 hr carb up once per week. On this one day carb up i eat a high carb (good carbs - oats- brown rice-etc), Moderate-high protien , almost zero fat.
Hop on over to the diet section if you are interested.
Also if this type of diet isnt for you (its not for everyone) a carb cyclke diet may work as well Do a seacrh on "the Prime before the cycle" by MArcus. Tells you about carb cycling type diet.
Either way i think diet and workout structure are you key to success here as opposed to any substance. Get the diet and workout foundations right and see what works for you. Your goal does not require - nor do I see any benfit from any chemical assitance.
