do any pro body builders actually do HIIT cardio??
Hey///
I am just curious about something. A few people I know swear by HIIT to drop some weight. I agree HIIT may sound better for an athlete trying to develop better conditioning but how do bodybuilders do it?
For one, it seems like a horrible idea to do it after a weight workout and if done on off days, wouldn't that simply hinder recovery?
I don't know of any big pro bodybuilders that actually use HIIT but it seems like it's still one of those constant debates - HIIT vs Steady State.
I just don't see how a bodybuilder ( especially a pro bodybuilder ) can actually include it in their routines without drastically loosing size and strength.

Off the top of my head I can't think of any current pro's that do this type of cardio....most of them keep it very moderate paced. It just doesn't make a lot of sense to do this, it's too big of a risk. Even if you're behind on your diet you can normally make adjustments that will catch you up without having to resort to this kind of cardio.
One exception you might be able to make is if you're a pro 202 competitor, behind in your diet and I mean way behind with limited time left, then it might be worthwhile....emphasis on "might."

doubtful. most do cardio to max fat burining they have no need to have explosiveness like a athlete would need.
