    Exclamation --- DHEA for a 20yo guy? -- I need some help.

Hey there, well firts of all I haven't mess with any kind of roid before and I really don't want to since I'm pretty young, but I've heared about a supplement called DHEA which I can buy in GNC, seems it'll help me gain muscle mass and strength a bit fast. I'm 20 yo and I was thinking if it's ok to use this supplement, I already made my own research on google but I still can't find concret answers. What do you think? I already have a very good natural fundation, I weigh 156 lbs and siriously my strength is pretty much ok, my bf% is no more than 7 and no less than 6% I'm pretty sure about that. Anyways, seems I won't have any "side effect" and I don't want to. And for last, would I stop being "natural" once I take DHEA? And, would I keep the gains from DHEA once I get off it? I just want to take a bottle, no more, siriously and I want to keep the gains I've made.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm really wondering.

    Thanks.

Gnc is for vitamins , protein, and creatine. Anything else is snake oil.

Asking a gnc employee about your health and goals is like asking a mcdonalds employee about your health and goals.

I lol'd srs... Yeah man but seems that DHEA is converted into androgen by the body. I was wondering about it since I wanna get huge but as an ectomorph, seems that strength is coming way much faster than muscle mass.

If you are an ecto you have to diet accordingly. Ive trained with a few ectos before... icecream + protein shakes every night was their best friend- and it worked.

dam I thought I should stay away from icecream at night since I don't really want to pack fat just muscle mass and glycogen, of course I eat healthy fats such as flaxseed oil and stuff but I want to keep my bf% low

DHEA is produced naturally (DHEAs) by the body. During the process of making testosterone cholesterol undergoes various changes and one of these is into DHEA.

At 20 years of age you already have sky high levels of DHEA and other endogenous androgens. Use it to your advatage and dont use any hormonal suppelements found OTC or online.

You only need to supplement with DHEA if on HRT or running into various side effects on cycle.

I dont suggest you buy, nor use it.

DHEA is a precursor to testosterone. Sounds good but its a 2 step conversion to test and very very little actually ends up converted to testosterone (in relative terms its actually more efficeint at aromatizing to estrogen than converting to test). It will illicit no muscle building effect in a 20 yr old male imo. In fact i dont think it will offer any in a 45 yr old male - however at 45 it may be prudent to supplement with it for other reasons.
I am of the opinion dhea is a waste in this case. I would save my $ if I were you.

DHEA is mainly found in the brain, which is what the supplement is aimed for. It wont provide any anabolic growth which you are refering to

Spend your money on some creatine monohydrate, BCAAs, Whey Isolate, Vitamin C and a good MultiVit.

Stay away from DHEA. At you age you dont need it and it wont help you gain any muscle. Actually one of the only few grugs to give me gyno symptoms.

    Thanks.
