Newbie - Looking for a small AAS cycle

Hey guys. Newbie to the board. I am 44 years old and have been lifting HARD for almost 3 years now. I weigh 170-175 lbs and BF ~ 12-13%. As I stated earlier, I workout religiously at least 5 times/week. For a while now, I have been getting irritated that the gains I have been getting have not been lining up with the amount of work I have been putting in. I have been considering other "options" for a while now. I have been doing a lot of reading and understand that there are a lot of side effects that I want to minimize. I know that I will continue to lift until my body can't take any more so I have time on my side but I would like a little help on building mass.

Here's what I would like. I am looking for a small dose of whatever (dbol, sust etc) that I can run by itself for 4-6 weeks, then take 4-6 weeks off (or longer) and then repeat. I am not really looking for immediate/huge gains but rather a bump up on T levels so I'll gain a little more mass than I would have taking no AAS's at all.

I value your opinion so please don't hesitate to comment.

    Thanks

Taking something like dbol alone is next to pointless.
Try running Testosterone Enanthate for 12 weeks. Sounds long, but it's not bad. I personally wouldn't use any other compound other than test for my first cycle just so you can see how your body reacts.

Also, make sure your diet is in check before you decide to run a cycle. Want to be able to keep those gains mate.

    Welcome to the board mate
I too, am an old bull, just like you. There are a few things you should consider before going down the path you seem to be looking at. First and foremost, go to your doctor, and get a complete physical, including the dreaded prostate exam. Next, you need to have a complete blood panel taken, INCLUDING free and total testosterone. Two reasons, first, it becomes your baseline prior to ever cycling. Second, you may be testosterone deficient. I had my panels checked, and come to find out, I was test deficient. Getting this corrected is your #1 concern if test levels low. If you are test deficit, then correcting this by itself could have a significant impact on your weight lifting results.

Before doing any cycle, get this done first.

Additionally, there is another forum here for us older blokes, you can go here to see: http://forums.steroid.com/forumdispl...-OVER-40-FORUM

The approach you take to weight lifting, building mass, and also steroids, will be different for us as opposed to the younger crowd.

    Hope this helps

^ In addition to the great advice by TimesRoman (btw he LOVES the prostate exam) check out the diet and workout forums. Often a change in one or both of these componnents can help you blast through a plateau. There are a ton of things that could be posted but I think TR gave the best course of action to start with, in the mean time look into the diet , workout changes if necesary - cycling or not honing those 2 things will only help. Welcome to the board !

I personally wouldn't recommend a 4-6 week cycle. Although some vets are using that method now I don't think for a first cycle that will be ideal. Test E for at least 10 - 12 weeks.. Lots of peeps would disagree but I would throw in some tren A @ 75-100mg eod by week 5 and run that till the end. By week 5 you will know if you are having any bad reaction to the test, if all is going smooth you can add the tren and see if all stays well, if not remove the tren and finish your test e cycle.

I had 2 budies that did their first cycle not long ago (they on pct now). Both 1st cycle, 1 of em test c only and the other one test c and tren a from week 5 - 12, the first guy was scared of tren and now regrets it. I did see much more dramatic results from the test + tren user(he was only on 75mgs EOD). Nothing builds that bulky lean muscle like tren does IMHO.

You did mention you did not want dramatic gains but, a lot of it is gonna fade a bit once you get off even with good PCT + diet, gotta count that in. How will you look once you lose some post PCT?

I agree with everything TR wrote. Well except for the old bull comment. He is more like a calf
In all seriousness this is a great place to start and welcome to the board

I have had my test levels checked. I don't remember the numbers but they told me my numbers were normal. I appreciate the feedback. Ate there any test boosters that have proven to work well that might fit my needs?

"Here's what I would like. I am looking for a small dose of whatever"
Hey guys, all good advice buy ya failed to mention he's looking for a source as ya all know against Forum rules.
IMO any natural test boosters ate not going to give you the results I think your looking for. Though a strict diet with High protein and heavy lifting I have seen do great for some especially since you said your test level are normal.
Now adversely , most Dr's I've seen out here will prescribe a bit of test if you insist you have Low Test symptoms.
Worked for me & a few guys I know out here.

test boosters really dont do much IMO
I dont see anything wrong with you running a real cycle of test. I would just get the blood work done first.
400-500mg of test e for 10 weeks would be great for you. Followed by pct

But its plainly right there " " " Newbie looking for a small aas cycle " & "Hey guys I'm looking for " uhmmmm what other words would say I'm searching for, looking pretty much is the word.

    Sorry mate
I didn't take it the way you took it. He's not asking for a source check.
But thanks for looking out for the board!

I've reread including your other comments with GB, and in light of the title.

Usually, when someone is asking for a source, it usually sounds like "does anyone know where can i get some testosterone?"

    I think OP is G2G

Here's how I look at it.
The older you get, the lower your test levels become, until when you get so old, there is barely any test in your blood. This is "normal". It is also part of the aging process. But I don't look at it the same way the medical establishment does. I don't want my test levels to be "normal" for an old geezer like me. I want my test levels to be optimal, which will be the upper limits for someone that is 21 years old. The body can tolerate this level of testosterone very well, with very minimal and manageable side effects. The medical establishment expects you to become decrepit as you age, they expect your bones to thin and your muscles to atrophy. They say this is normal. Again, that's just how i look at it. However, there is a huge movement that is now mainstream in the USA, and we are called "Life Extenders" that expect to be healthy and fit well into our 80's and beyond.

About test boosters. None work in the long term. Why? Your body has a feedback mechanism and when it senses your test levels too high, it cuts production. A test booster may temporarily work in the short term, maybe. In the long term, all you get is zero. Complete waste of money if you ask me.

    Good questions.
