    Eating in the middle of the night !

    I notice that when I wake up at night to pee I feel that I am starving.
    Would that not be a good time to put something in my mouth. Like something easy to make high in protein. What is the best choice ?

    Whey Protien ?
    Have two scoops ready and all I do is put water or skim milk in it and shake - drink.

    Cottage Cheese ?
    Easy to swallow a couple of spoons.

    Cooked Chicken ?
    have a couple of bits

    This might make a difference. Little things add up especially when on a cycle plus I think it builds good habit. Soon I might be having a proper meal in the middle of the night and still be able to sleep before and after.
    Any suggestions please ?

    I do cottage cheese if I have it, yogurt, banana or peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

    cottage cheese would be the best or a slow acting protein shake

    The emphasis is mostly on protein at that time of night, right ?
    So banana by itself might not be it. The other combos make sense I suppose.

    Are you 'starving' hungry or just 'hungry' hungry? If you're starving it means you aren't eating enough during the day, if you're 'hungry' hungry that is normal.

    I have my last protein shake before I go to sleep. Literally while im in bed catching the last of my TV. But if I was to wake up, I would say chicken/cottage cheese.

    The main thing is that I have heard that your body ideally (for bodybuilding needs) should consistently have a supply of quality protein. Jay Cutler for one is big on this.

    x2...or I just eat straight peanut butter out of the jar with soy milk to wash it down.

    Cottage cheese or peanut butter are my favs. But i've also had a piece or two of pizza if i was really wanting to gain weight.

    I keep a cup of greek yogurt and a protein shake , drink 2 cups of water before I sleep, I usually wake up at 3 or 320 am to piss, then take my protein shake or greek yogurt

    I figured - mouth and protien and all that - ha ha .
    Greek Yogurt I have not tried. That and cottage cheese seem like a great choice. Quick and easy and low in fat. thx everyone

    Cottage cheese has some fat , greek yogurt doesn't and has more protein than cc.

    i eat either 500ml of natural fat free yoghurt or have a blended time release protein shake b4 bed

    Agreed,,use some casein protein powder or eat the cottage cheese.
