    Does Anavar increase testosterone levels?

I understand it has little impact on the hpta but if it does shut you down then it must increase test levels?

    Thanks.

    Yes, it does.

Edit: On second thought. No. It does not!

It's minimal, though. What it raises is mainly dihydrotestosterone (DHT) which doesn't suppress HPTA as much and it doesn't convert to estrogen.

Wait wait wait... anavar DOES NOT increase testosterone levels !

It would encourage the enzyme actions on testosterone , therefore lowering testosterone. DHT, Estrogen, and/or cortisol all may be increased. It depends on the individual situation of the body.

What about women my wife took it with no bad sides and had great gains. I assume it didn't raise test in her system.

It will inhibit testosterone in males/females.

It will lower your natural test levels as your body sees it as a similar hormone and a lot of it at that. So it will lower your natural test as a way of maintaining balance. Too high a dosage and it will shut you down completely.

I dont understand. Libido goes up, all the benefits of testosterone goes up it seems, what 'similar' hormone does it recognise?

The testosterone side effects you mention will be from the steroid itself. The increase in energy, libido etc is from the androgenic effects of the steroid. Your actual testosterone levels will be dropping as a result. You will know this when you finish your cycle and suddenly all these super benefits will stop until your pct is finished and your natural levels are back to normal. (hopefully)

So my wife had such good results maybe because she is also on Bio identical hormone cream for peri-menopause and it has test in it as well?
