Scammed
Admittedly, I'm a n00b.
I purchased some stuff online and never got the gear. I was refused the tracking #.
I feel awful, wasted No price talk please..
I did the research, but it's hard to make the distinction from the legit sites and the scam sites.
Read the forum rules and know I'm not suppose to ask for sources.
What are some good ways to tell if a site isn't legit? Or what are some good ways to tell if a site is legit?Last edited by Matt; 11-09-2011 at 04:41 PM.

always google the site and see what comes back it will tell you if others are happy, have been ripped etc take it with pinch of salt but it will give you a good idea

Welcome to the board mate..
This happens far to often and if anyone approaches you now, the chances are they too want to scam you...
As said above, get to 50 posts and myself or another staff member will let you know which sites are good and which are bad. Most of us go through this so your not on your own...

Google some reviews about sites and sources. I think everyone will come up on some bunk sources at least once. It's a gamble man but you just need to take some time and do research. You'll find one, there are plenty out there. Good luck.

Word of advice. Make your next order small so you don't get burned for that much money next time. Good luck.

Eh, I would be wary of websites altogether. Find a good source and communicate directly with them through email.

I am new to site and working on getting my post count up.
I am not sure what is worse, getting scammed or getting counterfeit stuff..... Both have happened to me, pretty depressing. Right of passage thought.
